Attempting to embed Vimeo video which didn't work in another thread:

OK, nope. So what have I done wrong?

Let's see, does this work:

I think it just wants the video id# in between the tags.

Not sure about everything but i Love the ability to be able to "Go TO Topics I Posted In" as well as "Go To Topics I started".  I Really appreciate all theeffort you must have gone through to add any changes in something that you know from the start there is no way to please everyone.
Keep up the good work!  :D

Thanks for that, but it's not quite what I'm looking for. I don't want to ignore an entire board. Just specific topic(s) within a board.

There used to be a way to do things like bookmark a thread, mark it as unread, mark it as "ignored", etc. All those options that used to exist have been replaced by a single button that just marks it as unread. :(

That's what I thought you meant.  I didn't even know that there was anything other than a don't get notifications for threads option.

I've been begging for that "Ignore selected topics in the future" button back since the day the new forum came out - I've bugged mouser to do it and I am hoping it's on his to-do list - I think he got bogged down with CMS stuff amongst other things though :)

I don't think it is from what he said when it first came up.  For much the same reason ignore topics started by a certain user, or ignore users are not on his to do, even though it would help me immensely not to see topics/replies of certain users.

Regarding the reply arrow, I was wondering if it would be possible to overlay it on the other post icons? I am missing it on the "thread has an attachment" icon for example.

I made a version of the green arrow on it's own with transparent background in case that helps.

i know it seems like i should know this stuff back and forth, but i could do with a little more hand holding -- by telling me the complete list of icons i should add it to -- maybe a url & screenshot showing me where? my brain is just on dice lately :)

It's primarily the little paperclip icon here:

ah well, i've been meaning to KILL that paperclip icon -- it's used automatically now on a post with an attachment, and i think that may be a bit confusing.

I'm not sure if this is an intended feature or not, but I just logged out of my forum account on a VM and that action logged me out everywhere. My desktop, my tablet, my phone. Everywhere. :(

I think Contro found an issue in the [ code=language ] forum-tag. When pressing the 'Select' link and copying the content to the clipboard, each line is prefixed with 4 spaces, the space the line numbering takes in the view. When using no language in the code tag, all seems to work just fine.
I'd qualify this as a bug in (probably) the plugin that handles this layout task for the forum.

Test it here:
A multi-line block of text hidden
in a code tag without
a language applied to it
Code: AutoIt [Select]
  1. Another multi-line snippet of text
  2. in a code=autoit tag, it shows line-
  3. numbering and highlighting for any recognized keywords
  4. is shown

Using the select link on the second code block and pressing Ctrl-C to copy to the clipboard, then pasting in an editor, each line has 4 excess spaces in front of it.

This shouldn't be an issue for most languages, but for Python it is, and for the other languages it is a nuisance, not quite easy to fix for non-programmers as they don't understand why it isn't working as expected...

It may be a browser issue -- what browser are you using? Have you tried chrome?

Darn, it is indeed most likely browser related, tried before with Firefox and Pale Moon (a FF derivate), but in Chrome there is no such issue :o

In IE it is even worse, there it includes the line numbers and inserts an extra blank line between each line :'( (but I only use IE for an internal work-site that uses ActiveX stuff, phew)

Examples:
Screenshot - 21-02-2017 , 08_24_02.pngForum Upgraded August 30, 2015 - Report issues here

I'll have to take my complaints elsewhere, I guess :-[ ;D
Thanks for the feedback, didn't expect that.

Well probably a better solution, which I think I did on the old forum, was to add a button/link to click to explicitly copy the code to clipboard, and have that do the copy instead of using Ctrl+C, and then use js there to ensure the copy is always properly done without extra spaces or line numbers.  But until then at least you have the workaround of using chrome.
