Also I can't find a test post subforum?
That mouser-enhanced-mod has not been migrated to the new forum.

As useful as that private test area was, it involved quite a bit of ugly hacking around with a bunch of scattered areas of the forum codebase, and in my effort to keep things clean i am hesitating porting it over.

How about the scripting tags?  I know at least ahk had syntax coloring on the old board.  That was a nice feature.

Edit:  I got it.  The opening tag is  "code equal autohotkey"
Code: Autohotkey [Select]
  1. ;to start the block
  2. ;
  3. ;there would be ahk code here if I typed any such as
  4. var := 1 + 1
  5. ;
  6. ; just use the code end tag  slash code as usual to end the block

It's not something used every day anyway.  One can just preview and modify someplace or other I guess.  :)

It was a strange thing - because it was semi-live bb posting. A key other choice is to leave it in a local text file, but I only used it like three times so it's not worth 30 hours of Mouser hacking to only use it three times.

Watch out, we're getting into Biz Mgt here soon!

Surely we need some color!  :'(

I agree.  White is just too... white.  Especially at night.

There's a fascinating social question here somewhere because about a decade of Cyberpunk lore made dark colors "the thing", until the "masses" decided "White feels safe".

Now I don't know what anyone thinks of Light Blue.

When I used fractal flames made with apophysis as wallpaper the File Explorer white background was really distracting as the flames usually had a dead black background.  It was like glare.  A regular on a system modding forum changed the Aero theme to have Antique White as the Explorer background color.  It made a big difference.

I have trusty ColorToggle FF extension if needed though.  :)

yeah, I find white background too bright nights as well.
I do like the current colour scheme, but wonder if a slightly lighter grey background would be better for more contrast with the text.

Most forums have theme switcher mods (drop down somewhere in the footer) too. I believe smf does but probably not actively maintained if I had to guess.

smf does have the option to let users switch themes -- but because our dc theme has been thoroughly modified and customized at nearly all levels, its not practical to let user switch between other stock themes.
I could however, look into how easy and clean it would be to offer the opportunity to change dc coloring/css themes.

SMF has always had user-selectable themes but mouser has always disabled them - Having more than 1 theme available for people, means making more than 1 theme, then dealing with half a million requests for changes on both... ;D

Less maintenance sounds better.  Though is it possible to get one's old content from a backup?  I hadn't quite finished going through what I'd put there before the (early :)) transition over.

all still there.  go to your profile and view your posts, you should see a link to view your private posts which are all your old posts that are no longer visible or are on blocked boards.

I have a feature request!

Support for embedded Gfycats!

Cat Tax
That way links such as this one don't use up as much bandwidth and can be paused, rewound, or played in slow motion, etc.

I noticed a problem while making the previous post. When previewing my message, the spoiler box wouldn't open up when I clicked on it. :tellme:

Email alerts regarding PMs used to give sender and subject.
Now I get only subject which doesn't help with automatic mail sorting at my end.
Can you help with that one, please?

Should be fixed now.

Got the [Invalid Attachment] bug again... was hoping knowing the post could let you replicate it.

There was formerly a section in your profile that displayed your key.  Setting up a new computer, and realized that's no longer there.  I was able to, of course, browse to https://www.donation...r.com/Keys/index.php, but it took me a little bit to remember where that was.  It was definitely more convenient being on your profile...

And that's before my Antarean Trader system gets involved!

there is something wrong with the donation system.

The money I paid some hours ago, are not available to me as DonationCredits, like they used to; this time they all went straight to the site / mouser, without giving me any choice. That's not how it's supposed to be.

Don't panic! It works exactly as before -- when you donate you'll get a link by email (it's in the same email with the license key) -- you visit that link to "activate" your donationcredits and put them into your account.  From there you can allocate them all as you see fit.

why on earth is the confirmation page saying the donation was a failure? Yes, I will shortly after realize the donation was a success and that the money really has arrived, but... the #feelings# when you see the "Activation Failed", are so "unwanted", it surely must be better to find another way of confirming!

Activate DonationCredits for Curt

Activation Failed.

'this code' has already been used to previously activate/upgrade a forum account.

If you need to change your account or you want to activate a secondary account, that's not a problem at all and we'd be more than happy to set it up for you.

Just send an email to mouser@... and let us know how we can help you.

 Enter a new Activation Code.
