Very minor:

The 'Forum' link at the very top of the page (in the menu style row of links) does not work when one is in the forum -
there is a logic to this - but it's not the case with the other links up there, so a lack of consistency there.

(Me, I would just set it for forum home and leave it at that.)

Are donationcredits supposed to be showing up?  And history?  Just curious as they don't seem to be.

I see stats for donation credits and number of messages.  I do not see any preferences to set how threads are shown.  Also I do not see a post history.

you mean donation history?
I can see both here - there's info from the last 30 days on the credits page and a link for history below that.

Wraith -- are you by chance using a browser/device that does not show you a menu when you hover over the DonationCredits menu in your profile area?
This seems like it may be that problem -- where the choices of the different donationcredits pages are only available in a hover-over menu.

Can we get the "Go To" quick links at the bottom of threads like it was on the old site? It's no fun having to scroll back up to the top of the page just to navigate back to Unread threads or other areas of the site.

I figured it out.  It was my fault.  I didnt see that by default it was only for the past 30 days.  And the menus show up for me in chrome, though I was clicking through the credit amount that now shows next to your profile picture.

The one here?

Website Home | Blog | Software | Reviews and Features | Forum | Help | Donate | About us

If I click "Forum" it takes me to the root of the Forum (Which is what I assume you meant but isn't working for you?)

but when you're there (in the forum) the link no longer works (here).
Reread my post if you're unclear what I mean.

EDIT// never mind, this one has been fixed

I don't know if it's just because I'm on PM on the tablet but Wiki links aren't showing as links, rather as markup code, eg.

Echucaw

example link: https://www.donation....msg385387#msg385387

Plus also in my two posts above that one.

I don't understand how to do attachments here. The old version had some five options for thumbnails, full size, and stuff.

new forum should have same exact options -- perhaps there was some help text for the old forum?

I'm not sure what this question means.

In the old one, after you posted or previewed, there was a big dropdown in text on inserting attachments with different types. I don't see anything like that here.

I do see a button to insert attachment but it seems locked to thumbnails.

ah yes, i remember that now.. perhaps i will bring that back.

or i will just elaborate the text that is shown when you hit the image button (far left button on 2nd row of bbc buttons) to explain how to use the different tags.

Having to click OK on that dialog box each time you want to display an attached image is annoying.

Well the way it is now, it "has added attach thumb" so it would be work to remove it and do "attach inline full size" or whatever. So in a sense it feels anti-intuitive and a bit like what Chrome did vs Firefox by keeping replacing English menus with strange compact buttons!

And yes, Deo's comment too! Plus for me I'd have to make like a little note on my desk on the different syntaxes because there were like 5 ways to do it.

well my assumption was that the attach image button is just basically a reminder of syntax -- most people attaching images regularly wont be using that button.

that button is just there to give you a hint/reminder/example if you don't know (or forget) how to put an image inside your post.

I disagree. It's easier to click that button a few times than have to manually type [attachthumb=#] five times. In the past, I pretty much always used the dropdown menu to get the text in the text area at least once, then I might just copy and paste it the remaining time.

But yeah, I used that button/menu a lot.

EDIT: Oh hey, I just noticed the links down by the "Choose File" button that will automatically add the text for me. OK. I'm satisfied now.

Well I'm still lost! Maybe I'm a GUI Menu kinda guy, but I just preferred picking my attach type because all I see are Thumbs and can't for ex see how to get inline full and stuff.

So you want to attach something that's not a thumb? Try taking the "thumb" out of "attachthumb"
