You might like trip discs. They're fun. But you need to get really, really, seriously high to fully enjoy them. But, then again, when you're that high, just about anything will do. Still, trip discs are fun. Here's a link:

Still, not too hard to fault find an open/short in something like that with your trusty AVO^w or F-Set ... or just run a new cable.
