A reminder for those who have recently donated

It should never take more than 24 hours after you make a donation to get a thank you from us and an email on how to activate your forum account.
If you donate with paypal you should get activation and license information almost instantly.

Every so often someone donates with an invalid email and we have no way of contacting them, or amazon/paypal somehow fails to notify us.

If you look up at the top of this page in the "User Info" box it will say your member group.  If you have donated and are still listed as a "Visitor" then do not hesitate to email us and let us know so we can fix your account ([email protected]), or join the irc chat channel (see IRC CHAT button above).

And do not hesitate to contact us with any other questions or suggestions.

Out of interest, what are the different categories of members, what do they mean?

There are a few categories:
Charter Member - a donating member that joined when the site was starting up (can't remember the date, but it was up to early 2008 or something like that).
Member - a non-donating member that joined when the site was starting up.
Donating member - a member that joined more recently, and donated.
Participant - a non-donating member that joined recently.

Charter Member - a donating member that joined during the first year of site or so (March 2005- April 2nd, 2006).
Honorary Member - someone given full access to site for a variety of reasons, usually for helping out or a freeware author.
Member - a non-donating member given full access to site for a variety of reasons.
Supporting Member - someone who joined after April 2006 and donated.
Participant - a regular non-donating forum user.

I recently came back to this site after a 1-year hiatus (a busy 1 year).  I am very happy to return and to participate in all ways.  I love this forum, the topics, and the intelligence I have seen thus far.  Most forums are simply bland, silly, and plain uninformative, unless it is a highly technical site.  But this site has a bit of everything and I simply love the programs I can try. Being an amateur programmer myself since 1991 (I do have a degree in Computer Science), I still tinker now and then as time permits.  However, my professional trade is as a WRITER and WEB DESIGNER, which I love just about as much!  THANK YOU MOUSER for your web site.  I love it and will continue to support you monetarily and in any way that is legal. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

I used to visit this site quite a lot, but never really posted anything, ive known app and hollow for about 6-8years now lol so when hollow pointed me back towards the IRC channel and the website, i eagerly jumped on board.

Its easy to donate and you get to give one of the programmers a little boost for there efforts that so often go unrewarded. Go on dig a little deeper and donate now it is painless.

The mailto: link fetches the user email (in my case, [email protected]) whereas the link points to the proper admin email... it seems like they should match.

Just reporting in to assist since these little proper details make it better
