Impressive!
Maybe you could make up a web page for it, with executables, documentation, etc.

BTW, Jimmy Maher has written a lot about Interactive Fiction: it may bring back some memories! :)

Does bring back memories!  I kept my old Apple around just so I could look at my old projects for the longest time.  I finally got rid of it when my disks that had my old work on it were stolen.  But it was very good that you were able to recover your work!

Wouldn't it be easier to do something like this?

Isn't that cheating?  Especially if you are getting a good hourly rate the more convoluted the better.  ;)

I don't get what good the archive of the site is if the site is down and you can't contact them.  But I suppose I'm probably missing something...

I'm with you!

I didn't get the point of the PDF as an archival of the site, but I figured if we're making archives, why not use a major archiving service like archive.is?

This is tangentially related:

Does anyone know of a service similar to RetroFloppy that will allow you to digitize old audio cassettes? I've been working on some family history and have some old audio recordings of family members talking or telling stories that I would like to get converted to a format that will be easier to preserve for the future.

Not sure how many you have, but it might actually be easier to do it yourself:

OK first of all: Talk about a blast from the past! That article is 10 years old. :D

But more importantly: That's actually a pretty good idea! But the hard part may be finding a working cassette player somewhere!
