QuickJump 2016 is a FREE, fast, and easy file/program launcher. It can be used 2 ways, put QuickJump2016.exe in any folder and run it. It will list all files and folders in a menu so you can just click and it will open/run. Or you can put QuickJump2016.exe in a folder and create shortcuts to it passing a path to files or shortcuts. It will list all of the files in that path. See QJ Readme.txt for more info.

Example:
Put QuickJump2016.exe in a folder, create a shortcut to it and change the properties adding the path "C:\My Apps". When you double click the shortcut it will list all the files in "C:\My Apps" in a menu.

Screen Shots:

Looks pretty cool... a less visual version of 7stacks! :)

Yes I used 7stacks but it would just run so slow sometimes and take forever to open if I had a lot of apps/files in the folder. I wanted a faster way, so I made this. :-)

My problem with it also, so I'll give this a try!

Wraith, what about removing the ".lnk" from the display?  We don't really need to see the file extension, and it would be less clutter.

I'm confused?   Or was this for the author?

Having to figure out a way to download it in Chrome sucks.

Just an FYI- how you get around the malicious warning (even though we haven't checked, we're going to mark it malicious) in Chrome

I had exactly this problem with an exe file that is downloadable from my web site. Whenever I tried to download the file using Chrome it gave the warning.

The solution I found was to sign up to Google Webmaster Tools and add my site. It took several days for Google to crawl my site, and fill in any information, but I went back today and finally found loads of information there.

Now I can download my file, and there is no malicious warning any more.

It seems that once Google has checked out your site and determined that you are not a bad person, the problem goes away.

Is that link above correct?  I used curl to get around chrome, and got a 301?

UPDATE: For anyone trying the same, the link is a redirect, and the location is in the 301, i.e. http://f.cl.ly/items...1G/QuickJump2016.zip

Yes it is correct. I use https://www.getcloudapp.com/ to host my downloads... Really, not matter what I have used (Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive etc..) the same thing happens... I just stick with CloudApp now.

That's was what I was referring to above.  You can use curl, wget, or such utilities to directly download it.

Wow, that's cool! Thanks for letting me know. I'll see what I can do about adding that letter shortcut option. ;-)

Update: Added the feature requested in that article. Apps/folders/files can be opened by pressing the corresponding underlined letter for that menu item.

I use MenuApp. It has been there for a long time and is feature rich. But, I am looking for an alternative since it is buggy. Was excited to see QuickJump, but then it does not create sub menus for folders. :(

No QuickJump does not have sub-menus for sub-folders, that is by design. I wanted it to be fast and having to loop through sub-folders and create sub-menus adds a lot of time to creating the menu. I do not think I will ever create sub-menus for folders. What I may do in a future release is make pseudo sub-menus that only show when clicking on the folder menu item. That way they are generated on the fly and will not make it much, if any, slower.

I actually like that it doesn't create sub-menus, and if you do add it, can you make sure to put the option of not using it?

Yep, it's going to be an optional parameter called SubMenus. Was a quick add and I'll be uploading a new version soon.
