... it is too small to work well as a writing pad.

OT - I am interested in the handwriting recognition feature, but after having watched a few review videos, there always seems to be a bit of a lag. You write a few words, then wait for them to be recognised. That's a bit like how dictation software works. I wonder how that would affect one's writing process, i.e. whether it would slow you down enough that you'd forget what you wanted to write? Anyone tried it for notetaking on the go or creative writing?

hmmm, I wonder what the buffer is like?  I've never used anything like this but I wonder can you write faster than it can read, and how far can you get ahead before it stops recognising your input, or skipping content to try and keep up?

Which format in ebooks is more popular, justified (straight) or unjustified (uneven) right margin?

I've seen a lot of talk towards justified, though IMO unjustified is warranted at times.

I love my Kindle Fire for ebook reading. Crystal clear.

Does anyone know where I can download free legal Public Domain ebooks in text form, working through TOR Vidalia, and without joining or registering?
For instance, Project Gutenberg has a ton of books, but won't let you access or download them through a proxie, but only in direct open unencrypted mode, which is vulnerable to cyberstalkers.
Other web sites want you to register and log in.
There are LibreVox recordings on YouTube, but sometimes the speech quality is indistinct and a little difficult to understand, and there are necessarily no subtitles.
Any text format would be fine, as I intend to play them back using my text to speech player anyway, which is easier on my eyes, and would also automatically give me built-in subtitles to be sure what is being spoken.

Have tried myself but I wonder whether any of the mirror sites for Project Gutenberg might work better:

From the way that they're marketing it, and the 'interview' process and the reasoning behind that, I don't know if it will get into the hands of someone that would do that.

FWIW, noticed mention of getting the SONY device rooted:

Sounds expensive and risky :)

This looks like it might be what Mouser is looking for to read pdf documents full size: a 13.3 Android tablet with full 1080p display and 16GB memory for $199.  Read the review by Charles Babcock dated October 27 2015 for a good evaluation of the tablet's strengths and weaknesses - note that the 16GB version is now going for what he paid for 8GB.
