Google Tests Subscription Service Allowing Web Access Without Ads - Video

Hmm. I don't know how I feel about this "pay for an ad free web" thing.

Here Are The Most Googled Toys In Each State

Remember adults google toys as well as kids. So kid's tablets in Louisiana and Misissippi say something about adults there as well as children.

How to Organize Your Fridge - Reviewed.com Refrigerators

No point organising the fridge, cupboard, suitcase, or any form of storage here - as soon as the wife gets into it any form of organisation goes out the window.

You shouldn't let your wife get into the fridge. That's very dangerous.  ;D

Free tool detects government spyware

Of course, if you're the one doing the spying, you don't need this.

Does it count if you only spy on little countries like Andorra, Monaco and Vatican City?

Or the bachelor version:
No point organizing my fridge. The contents consist of half a leftover pizza and a can of Pepsi!

No, 'Gangnam Style' Didn't Break YouTube. We Did the Math  WIRED

Apparently Wired has a loose screw. The title isn't remotely related to the article and isn't remotely accurate. I really expected better from Wired.

I disagree. The story was about the problem YouTube had with the number of viewers of that video. It was a problem in the same way that Y2K was a problem.

I'll just quote one of the comments on the story:

And by "we did the math" you mean "we pointed out a technical grammatical error in the pouplarly buzzed headline, then spun it around for our own 'controversial' headline, to give a false sense of 'truth' to our article in order to bait more clicks."

And then you proceeded to recite the same figures as every other article that had already gotten to this bit of news, in an effort to drag people in for more.

And you succeeded. Well done. You baited the fish. And most of us stuck around to complain about how we got baited to boot. Double whammy.

Now please don't ever do it again.

^ Yes. That.

This is really nifty:

It's a new kind of weed control that is non-toxic. For anyone that follows any of the news on herbicides, this is a pretty big deal.

And I bet the video is very effective also.

Spoiler
I wonder how old she is.

DC IS GONNA LOVE THIS! ;D

A married couple go over different words in Australian and American English.

If you're Canadian (or possibly British), it's even funnier~!

What do you use when you make a mistake with a pencil?

For all those interested in linguistic differences (native or not), this is really fun.

I predict someone will do it to prove it can be done or for the lolz. Can you imagine someone showing his license and it shows him as Dolly Parton or Donald Duck, Fidel Castro, Mao Zedung(in Chinese). What if a woman is identified as Arnold Schwartzenegger(with picture). That will not end quickly and will end up online. They could give your name as someone on the FBI 10 Most Wanted list or wanted as a serial killer or just someone armed and dangerous. You would not quickly persuade the cop it wasn't your name. (Hint: Don't say "Do I look like a dangerous criminal?)
