yes, I am aware of that, but... after trying I found it too complicated to use it!
although, I wouldnt classify myself as novice in using software and I have used thousands of programs UIs.
I realize it's powerful, but, it seems an overkill... :/

@k - FWIW I have yet to find anything better. And I've tried pretty much all of them. True, the ones that are good tend to get a little complicated. But such is the price that comes with power.

That said, there's nothing that requires you to use the full feature set in SC. I certainly don't. Usually I do little more than pick the 'select area to grab' option, save as gif, png, or jpg (depending) to my desktop, and then (optionally) import the capture into whatever graphics package I decide I need for tweaking or scaling. It's so easy as to be almost a reflex movement for me by now.

YMMV - but I really haven't seen it get much easier than ScreenshotCaptor. And it's pretty hard to beat the asking price too! ;D

Even though it's a complex screenshot capture program with all kinds of bells and whistles, it really is quite easy to use.  The shortcut keys are listed right in the drop-down "Caption" menu.  All you have to do is look there to see what kind of snapshot you want to take, go to where you want to make the snapshot and do it.  If you use it quite often you can make a list of the shortcuts to get right down to business....

I'm another basic user of SC.
Note that the current beta (which I think mouser plans to release shortly) makes it a lot easier to use, with an auto-hide bar on top of screen.

I again installed Screenshot Capture, I tried to upload an image, but:

1) there were too many clicks involved
2) I didn't manage to upload it, because it wanted me to install some other software
3) the producted image had some artifacts in its top corners

:/

Try the beta, kalos.
https://www.donation...nshotCaptorSetup.exe
I think you may find it quicker.
And it has improved uploading.

Just thought I'd mention that, like tslim, I use HyperSnap for screenshots.  I've used it for years and love it.

I see there that HyperCam version 2 is free for personal and commercial usage. There is a 64bit version for Win 7/etc.
THey do say:
If you need a more powerful version, please try the commercial HyperCam 3, developed by our partner, Solveig Multimedia. Please visit their pages for more information.

I prefer using a real good screen and video capture software. I discovered Screenpresso few months ago and I really love it.
