I'd like to add passwords to this discussion as well. I wonder how secure my phone and desktop are. I take reasonable precautions but really, I have no idea how secure my stuff is. If they want social info, I think they would be bored with me.

too far away (Hong Kong)  in case there is a problem

I better address this-
Refunds can happen, and they do believe you.
Better customer relations can not be found from other HK based distributors.
It's a lot of paper work though.
Small ticket items are usually handled without shipping....depends...
More likely to be credited.
The ticket response time varies.

Deal Extreme is another choice, but not much different price.
FT's site is so easy to navigate, easier reviews and forums.
I hardly ever use DX, unless FT does not have the item.

I buy flashlights and knives from them.
I always check for reviews before buying.
If there are no reviews, I will not buy it....usually.. :)

The Convoy flashlights are excellent. And quite a few others I own.
The Sanrenmu knives are good too.

They do sell knock-offs, just watch the reviews though,
sometimes, and more than you think,
the knock-offs are better than the original.

Customs is not a problem.
They have stopped shipping lithium batteries because of customs.
Temporarily I think.

A great number of discounts to Germany customers.
Shipped to Germany Only - from what I can see.
Discount Code - PAYPALDE

From a site I shop, this got my attention on a forum-

Dear valued customers,

PayPal Germany is hosting a "Cross Border Weeks" promotion for German customers. We're pleased to announce that PayPal Germany and FastTech has jointed created a 7% off site-wide coupon for this event.

Between August 1, 2014 and August 31, 2014 Hong Kong time (dates inclusive), products shipped to Germany are eligibile for a 7% off discount via coupon code PAYPALDE.

We'll post PayPal Germany's official event link as soon as they have it ready.

Terms and conditions:

1. This offer is valid for all retail products (except OVMS (link)) available at

2. This offer ends on August 31, 2014 Hong Kong Time.

3. The coupon code must be applied on the shopping cart page, before checkout. FastTech is unable to apply the coupon code after an order is placed.

4. This promotion is ONLY valid for orders shipping to Germany addresses. Entering a non-German address during checkout automatically invalidates the coupon and cancels its discounts.

5. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with other promotions or discounts. When ordering multiples of the same item, automatic bulk rate discounts overrides the discounts of this coupon.

6. Applicable warranty and return policy are stated in individual product pages.

7. This offer cannot be exchanged for cash.

8. In case of disputes in relation to purchases made, reserves the right to make the final decision.

9. Paypal and reserve the right to amend the terms and conditions of this promotion.

Update: here is the PayPal Germany's official event link:

Thank you.

mouser, I was not sure where to put this
deals and discounts, which is software, mostly, or here
please move it if needed, thanks

yeah, moving the box around between more then a couple of edits, background and text boxes, made that little mark

between saved edits, i had a few saved versions
it did not take very long to do it

hm, where did that come from

the patched text is " "Patch text "

made the font a little bigger.
The boldness is not an exact copy I think.

Can you see where I "Patched text" ?

Screenshot Captor / Re: How to cature the Quick Capture Bar?
« on: March 03, 2014, 08:15 PM »
though honestly how often does one want to capture an image of it?

Possibly to show someone else how your Quick-Bar setup is arranged.

To take a shot of the Quick Capture Bar, just use a different Screenshot Capture program. Seems to be the easiest solution to me.

What I'm saying is that either Avast or Trusteer Rapport is still actively blocking screenshot attempts by way of some change made by them to your computer.
Because, normally a screenshot program will work without being blocked, if there is not a program that has changed something in your computer.
If it's not able to do screenshots, something has stopped your computer from taking screenshots, Right?

In other words, the Avast and Trusteer Rapport is not turned off.

Trusteer Rapport and/or Avast have blocked screenshots through an add-on or other type of addition directly to your browsers.

So does PicPick work without any setting adjustments?
Seems unsafe to me.
Avast blocks ScreenshotCaptor, but not PicPick? or Trusteer Rapport?
Do you still use Trusteer Rapport, like you said in another place?
Is Trusteer Rapport not blocking PicPick?

Interesting, same here.
Capturing with the Quick Capture Bar using Last Active Window will capture the Preferences/HotKey screen.

Make sure when you copy the key that you are not highlighting an empty digit before or after the key. That would transfer the blank digit into your paste the key in operation.

That may be the problem. I know I've done it on some codes.

I think the "not remembering settings" thing which shows up here sometimes, is related to deleting temporary files.

That is my best guess anyway. I've lost my settings sometimes and I don't know why exactly. So I'm guessing it's the temp files routine maintenance.

2014 now  ;)
does this mean the car will be newer or older?

Fast Tech is a place I found recently.
Quality seems good so far for the few items I ordered.
Picked up a pack of Gillette Fusion razor blade cartridges really cheap.
Ships from China, so, depending on where you are in the world, it could take a few weeks to get your stuff.
And rumor is that this is about "knockoffs". So take some care....full shopping.
Personally I think it's a back door to some name brand items already made in China.

Anyway, it is a gadget place...

Update: In one of your posted links, I saw the browsers mentioned and went into Firefox and disabled the Webroot Add-on. Rebooted, still got the white screen when trying to grab a region (or print screen) when the browser is running.

A good bet would be that whatever that webroot add-on did, it did not reverse changes to the browser by disabling it.
Could try removing the add-on, or telling the main program to leave Firefox alone. And IE too I suppose... I wonder what these security programs do that blocks a screenshot in a browser...
