I'm not very good at these displays of advanced emotion and that sort of thing, and I shall probably blush.
Just because of that it will be even more appreciated

I'll do it in Dutch, just to attract some fellow Dutchmen: Hiep hiep hoera!

Dear friends,
Saw the DC site via the Gizmo site (techsupportalert.com)! I am from INDIA and a real big cheers for DC for the innovative way they have done the fund-raising possible! Yes, i am a medical consultant physician! The site looks very cool and friendly! Way to go Cody!!

Fairly new member here, also a member at Tweaks.com,Guru of 3d and a few others.Gamer/PowerUser who really likes process tamer and FARR.OK, after reading all these enthusiastic posts you have all gotten to me, the credit card is coming out again. Congratulate yourselves because I am very very cynical. Years of computer tweaking has caused me to merge, in a sense, with my equipment, permanently dampening the happy kid part of my brain.I am also in my 50's which doesn't help nor do all those long forum arguments over everything from modded drivers to malware. But your forum is like a trip to Playland compared to many others and I have enjoyed reading some of these posts. So I am going to buy mouser a cup of virtual coffee.Donation on the way.Good luck with the fund drive.

Welcome AAT!

When I saw your nickname and your quote:

It made me think of the "AT-AT" machine from Star Wars:

I guess we will extend the range of the thermometer if we make it! Yes!

Woah, good! Spicey contest proposal - The Blind Thermometer: stop letting the thermometer show the level reached, and the first donator that reaches exactly, or goes beyond the $6000 level, wins something :)

We just passed the $6,000 goal -- the fundraiser is a success!!!

But let's not stop while we are going strong -- I've extended the thermometer range to $10,000.  That's a bit ambitious but let's see if we can make it and give more people a chance to become part of the family and share in the experience of donating :)

What does one have to do?

As the doe said as she staggered out of the woods, "that's the last time I do THAT for a couple of bucks"

And the devil take the hind most.

What does one have to do?

Hmm, anyone who wants in could just agree (here?) that we'll do it and maybe each drop $25 in the kitty on 31st?

That okay?

I'm in if you're in…

Oops, back to those two bucks  :-[

I've just been moving to a new house the last week or so and I've missed most of this initial rush of excitement. But coming in now and seeing it all it's really pretty amazing what has happened in less than a week of this fundraiser. This really is an unique and wonderful place, and the support that has come in from just the first few days is huge proof of that for me. While I know it won't continue at that level, that doesn't take away from how amazing it is that we've more than reached the initial goal already in less than 1/4 the total time of the fundraiser. It's also fantastic to see new (and old lurker) members popping in to say hello.

I'll be doing my own donating a bit later in the month, hopefully I can help sustain the momentum. :)

Wow!

Three days + 15.5 hours into it and you're almost at goal!

I've never seen anything like that for site like this one. Tells you something doesn't it?

(NPR & PBS could learn something here.  :D)

And without even any annoying telathon breaks! :D

I'm sure we all wish you every happiness in your new home.
Hope you settle in comfortably, soon.

I believe a house plant is the traditional gift

I was out of town all week and just got back in. Glad to see the fundraiser off to such a great start, already meeting the goal before I even saw it!

Thanks to everyone who has and will donate! Thanks to mouser for such a great site! And thanks to everyone who contributes in their own way for helping make this the best website in these interwebs! :D

EDIT: A few LOLMousers for the occasion:
