With that laid out, the International Society of Solipsists is currently accepting applications for new members. All interested persons are invited to apply. The Society asks that you please send a brief Vita and three letters of recommendation from yourself.

Purpose

* To form a sense of community with other solipsists worldwide
* To interact intellectually with fellow solipsists on a local, national, and international level

…he shrugged. “My apparences? They are the sign that my will is not yet strong enough to support my existence without extraneous help.”

…”What about the others? Do they – the apparences – call themselves God, too?”

“Apparently… um, apart from one, who’s an atheist.”

“Ah-ha”, she said, nodding slowly. “And what does this person call himself?”

“‘Me.'”

“… uh-huh.”

Seems like the society would be highly inefficient. Every person in attendance would have to take attendance even though it would always be 1. Likewise all matters put to a vote would pass 1 to 0. That is unless there are procedural rules requiring a quorum. If the quorum is greater than 1 nothing would ever happen.

The single solipsist in attendance is likely to be a reformed procrastinator.

Not me, although my daughter got one as a gift several years ago. She and a babysitter tried it out the first time, but they weren't happy with the results. That might be due to the fact that we only had compact fluorescent bulbs available in the pantry.

It's still tough to beat "Up In Smoke" even after all these years. Guys crossing the border in a van made of pot, searching LA for a bag of weed. It was pure genius.
