What Are Your Favorite Science Blogs?
« on: March 11, 2008, 02:02 AM »
What are your favorite science blogs (can be general science or on a particular area)?

Here are a few of my favorites:

Great find, mouser! My go-to science site is Science Daily. Another similar meta-news science site is ScienceBlogs. Lots of blogs are devoted to bad science or bad math, like Bad Science.net Others I like are:

Pharyngula
Panda's Thumb

I follow space.com.  And recently have been following newspond, which scrubs many daily science resources.

These are from my rather large list of feeds, I consider them partially scientific:

I am still looking for a (German) site about quantum mechanics, very much like Astronews but on "the other side of normal".

I think Damn Interesting was recommended by someone from this very forum :) And PLoS I support because I believe knowledge needs to be spread and made available as much as possible: only educated people can make just decisions.

This one's a podcast, rather than a blog, but it's interesting stuff and very informative.

I just found it, and haven't formed a real opinion yet as I've not read enough yet. So far, it seems decent. I'll be reading more though.

It does have a "global warming" section, which... err... Let me just say there's a basement thread on that with a truckload of fantastic information and analysis... and that I'm prone think of the site a bit more in those terms. ;) (The sugar post was interesting though! I appreciated that!)

The professor explains complex and esoteric science for non-science types. Quite informative.
