BTW  Fort Lauderdale PD has a ticket called *Improper Start* and they gave me my very own copy a while back.

Having a rather (shall we say) colorful driving history (street racing), I positively must know what constitutes a "Proper Start"? Even now that I'm pushing 50 I seldom get more than half the rated mileage off a set of tires.

I just past *early retirement* age (USA) and a Proper Start is anything except what I did in the early '70's.

It involved a newly earned DL, a small-block '63 Vette, 10" wide rear tires, some rocks in the road under them and a 360.

Cop wasn't impressed... nor my father.   ;D

Yeah mine to (Florida - same as crabby), but god...that's just so boring. I like to enjoy driving as an activity.. So any time I can get someone to drop their phone to give me the finger I look at as a win. My antics would not have surprised them had they too been paying attention all along.

@crabby - 360 is a damn fine engine. I've got one in my 02 Dodge Dakota.

In my distant youth I frequently left the cop standing there scratching their head trying to figure out how the hell to describe what I was doing on the ticket. I managed to negotiate that confusion down to careless driving about 35 times.

...But officer how can you say I was doing 95mph on the street...(caught on radar after launching the bike over a set of tracks 6-8 feet in the air)...if I wasn't even touching it??

Kit-Kat commercials on TV.

I don't know why they think the sound of somebody loudly chewing their product makes you want to buy it. Or that biting into a candy bar can induce an orgasm - as the expressions on the ad actor's faces (especially the women's) seem to imply.

Maybe this is conjoined commercials?

Kit-Kat = crunch   York Peppermint Pattie = orgasm

 Both Hershey's

Actually the 360 was vehicle rotation around in a circle.  The engine was a stock 327.  But the car was cool and fun to drive.

Burgundy with OE side pipes, convertable, chick-magnet.   8)

Ah! Yes, a 327 would make much more sense in a Chevy. I was trying to post in a hurry and not thinking.

I think I may have been able to put a larger block, non Chevy, engine in it.  Even back then JCW had all kinds of conversion kits.

But it would have been way easier to stick with the brand.

Back around '72 a friend of mine dropped a Kubota diesel into a '65 Mustang.  When kerosene was dirt cheap.
He gave me a ride and it worked drove fine... just noisy as hell.   ;D

Riddle:  What is really annoying and never stops.  No... not Pawn Stars... junk mail.

After over 3 years of emails and phone calls... the crap has slowed from a deluge to a drizzle.   :(   ...not stopped.

... death, taxes and junk mail.

I solved my spam problems with good software that deletes them before I even download them on my pop3 server.  The phone call problem I solved with a call-blocker.  Now if I can only solve the taxes and death.....  :P

After reading your reply, Tinman57, I understand how misleading my reply was.
So please... let me rephrase some things ..

====================

Riddle:  What is really annoying and never stops?  No... not Worlds Deadliest Catch... junk-mail.

After over 3 years of sending emails (31) and making phone calls (17) ...the USPS crap has slowed from a deluge to a drizzle.   :(  ...not stopped.
This ongoing effort included entering my name/address on The National Do Not Mail List and Epsilon Opt-Out.

... death, taxes, Pawn Stars and junk-mail.   ;D

p.s.1  The few bits of spam I was getting were from my ISP, but after threatening to switch ...they abruptly stopped.  ;D
p.s.2  The National Do Not Call Registry ended most of the telemarketing garbage and my answering machine dissuades the rest.

Friends who do not reply or just ignore my 'read receipt' for email!

Friends who have Voice Mail or answering machines and NEVER check for messages... Grrrrr I've paid for the call so respect that!

People who go to the gym and smell like they've bathed in cologne or perfume. You do not go to the gym to smell good, you go there to SWEAT. Leave the perfume/cologne at home!

My pet annoyance: People who jump to a conclusion about why someone or something is the way they/it are, and then they proceed to go and judge or get annoyed over that reasoning even though it never existed outside of their own minds.

Someone I love very, very much has a bad habit of interrupting me in conversation to make a point that I supposedly lent credence to, except that I didn't; said person merely heard enough of my sentence to come to their own (entirely different) conclusion and interrupted accordingly. :nono2:

What annoys me over and over and...

Non-answers!

Question: Is it raining hard where you are?

Answer:  I have a state of the art umbrella!

That sounds EXACTLY like when politicians "answer" questions.  Which is a HUGE annoyance of mine.  Just ANSWER THE DAMN QUESTION!!

Today it's videos demoing guitars where there's so much distortion/overdrive added - or so many effects plugged in between the instrument and the amp - that you have absolutely no idea what the instrument itself sounds like. :-\

That and "Emo" anything.

^^ +1.
I'm a big distortion/overdrive freak, but the hell if I'm going to judge quality by a fnikcug YOUTUBE VIDEO.
If I have the time and money to actually go and buy a new instrument, the music store is the first place I go, not the internet.  Too bad most of those are going the way of most brick-and-mortars.   :-\

Oh, and screw emo too.  It's just 12-year olds thinking they got the blues, but... well... you know.
