Screenshot Captor - Attractive and Useful
Screenshot Captor shines when it comes to processing a captured screen. MWSnap was only able to save it in various formats while Mouser's software can add elements to the screen before saving it. It is nevertheless possible to simply save it and use it that way. Users who like to add text, images or objects to screenshots on the other hand will find all the tools they need to do just that.. The screen capture software should be the right application for anyone who takes screenshots regularly. Users who process their screenshots afterwards will find all the tools they need to do just that without the need to install an image editor to do so.

techTAGG - digg like site with revenue sharing

techTAGG - digg like site with revenue sharing

techTAGG is an alternative to other user driven technology related news sites! However our primary focus is on technology related news from main stream medias and blogs.

techTAGG allows you to decide which news should make it to the front page and how it should reach the front page.

Our primary focus is technology. We want to get technology related news to the front page. If you are a blogger then feel free to submit your blog stories to our site as well.

We are also the first user driven site that does profit sharing. Your adsense ads will be displayed 50% of the time for all the stories you submit. More exposure and more money for you. Now this is a real user incentive.

We have setup techTAGG so that the system allows our active members to share adsense revenue.

The site displays an adsense ad on the top space of each page. We are currently using Google Adsense to serve relevant ads in that space. As an active member you can submit your Google Adsense publisher code in your profile section.

Our system will then publish your Google Adsense for the links/stories you submit. We randomly display your ad about 50% of the time. Our ads will share the other 50% with you.

interesting idea though i'm not sure success in this market has anything to do with anything but existing market share and chaotic random fluctuations in the matrix of space and time. but i really do like the idea that ad revenue is split with users who submit stories.

Fantastic Blog Find:  Huge Entity

huge-entity.jpg
I am not sure how to describe this blog other than to say it's very interesting, thought provoking, and down-right incredible.

This is better on it's worst day than digg is on its best day.

It has become my first stop in my feed reader:

Alarm Clock Software That Plays Music Files?

[I'm looking for] a simple GUI or CLI alarm clock, which plays either .mp3 or .wav files for the alarm.  The user would have to supply the music file.  Its use would be to wake someone up to the music of their choice, after a night's worth of "restful" sleep.  Naturally, this would require leaving their bedside computer on all night, or sleeping in front of their computer.

Features would need to include a snooze button (either a button in a GUI, or a specific key such as the spacebar in a CLI version), and the alarm clock program must play the music file repeatedly until either the snooze button is hit (9 minutes would rock for a snooze time), or until the program is terminated.

Drawspace - Art Lessons (some free, some not)

FREE MEMBERSHIP
A basic membership is completely free – and allows you access to all articles in the A-Resources section, as well as one free lesson of your choice each month. We are currently reviewing our bandwidth usage and site costs, and may change this to 2 free lessons per month.
Many of our members are very happy with this option for an indefinite period of time, and continue to enjoy the additional features on the site, such as the gallery and the forum for no cost whatsoever.

This is kinda cool - the membership thing sounds reasonable.  I like the idea that you can still get one free lesson of your choice each month even if you choose never to pay.  All by one artist (Brenda Hoddinott).
