This is by far one of the most useful program I've ever used. I've always hated having to edit source code to try and hack out a link to a media file, now I can get them without any real work at all. Thanks to mouser, perhaps one of the best developers in the software industry. Great job man! [about URL Snooper]

PortableApps - Manage your collection of install-less utilties and usb drive applications

Most large programs for Windows PCs come packaged in installers, which guide the user through installing the program, add entries on the start menu, and provide an entry in the Add/Remove software control panel.

But there are times when you really don't want to be able to use software without installing it -- such as placing it on a usb drive and running it from a public computer or from a friend's computer.  Such install-less programs are generally called "portable."

The PortableApps suite was designed to help facilitate the use of portable applications, by making it easier for you to collect, manage, and launch sets of portable applications.  It's a cool free project.

PortableApps.com Suiteā„¢ is a complete collection of portable apps including a web browser, email client, office suite, calendar/scheduler, instant messaging client, antivirus, audio player, sudoku game, password manager, PDF reader, minesweeper clone, backup utility and integrated menu, all preconfigured to work portably. Just drop it on your portable device and you're ready to go.

Note: we've talked about portableapps.com plenty of times on the dc forum; for more info see here.

A number of forum members have suggested some alternative tools (and even forks of portableapps suite) that they like as well.  Read their suggestions..
