Some feature requests

I just recently got to play with CHS again, and it's great! A lot better than the last time I tried it, and it's now a candidate for my favourite clipboard manager. I currently use Arsclip, but lets see how CHS turns out...

anyway, I've got a few requests. I apologize if these are already posted or in the todo-list (or I've missed them in the app ), but I thought I'd mention them:
* Handle images as well as text! Although this isn't the feature I use most in Arsclip, it's very handy from time to time. I suppose this one's already requested, but that's understandable
* Handle files copied to clipboard There should be a configurable file size limit (applies to the previous request as well).
* Ability to configure the length of the pop-up menu preview. It's too wide currently. I think it should be configurable either by width or by characters. Don't know what makes most sense... Hovering an item should ideally show a tooltip with the full clip.
* Ability to configure tray icon clicking behaviour. (ouch, not a very good sentence, but I'm tired) I would prefer the main window appearing on a double click of the icon.

I did have a few other requests, but I'll post them when I've got a nights sleep and used CHS a bit more.

long desired, as well as richedit, etc.  im thinking on this; i have always intended to, and i will make it an option, i just have to figure out where to put this in my todolist priority since its not something i currently use myself.

Hmmm... either I'm missing something, or you misunderstood. I know I can limit the length of the 'Title size' of clips, but normally I don't use titles or don't assign them to regular production clips, and so the preview become too long. See screenshot below:

how about (optionally I guess) on single click of try icon -
I would always use the shortcut to bring up the clips so this would be better for me at any rate ..

yes, I suppose it would be a good idea to make both single/double click optional AND pop-up/main window optional.

Along with the clip itself, CHS saves the date and the program the data was clipped from.  Where the program is a browser, would it be possible to have CHS save the URL as well?

I support that idea! Maybe this is something that suits the Notes-feature I understand is planned for CHS?

I agree with the url saving thing too..
And bye bye to Google Notebook and those..

If you plan to add rich text capture, please add this as optional, because sure it will consume more resources and I like plain text more.

Yeah, I like the idea of the URL being saved, and just to add something to the list to do if you ever get time list, a few extra icons (or the ability to import them) for the folders, for  instance i have a folder of urls and a globe or something like that would be nice, (i like eye candy    )

My CHS requests

• Mouser to finish his PhD
• CHS to pop up faster
• As I asked before, save URLs along with clips (like Clipmagic)
• Hotkeys on menus (most are missing)
• Rename clip titles.  At present they're the name of the program that was active when the clip was made.  I'd rather be able to assign meaningful names
• System-wide hotkeys to move up and down the Quick Paste pop-up Menu, or whichever CHS folder is currently selected, and put them ready for the next Ctrl-V.  Briefly show excerpt as tooltip at cursor location each time these hotkeys are used (like ClipCache)

Sorry, found it now.  I was expecting to Right-Click or press F2 from the top-right pane of the main window (Title / Favorites / Excerpts list).

The Quick Paste Menu.  Actually, now I've moved to a new and faster computer, that's not so much an irritation, but it's still a little slower than ArsClip, say.
