Announcement: DonationCoder.com Has Been Sold to Apple
« on: April 01, 2007, 07:36 PM »
Good news!
Yesterday I had a long conversation with Steve Jobs, and he has made an offer to buy DonationCoder.com!

Now some of you may have heard me slagging off Apple and Steve Jobs before, but that was all in the past.  Now that I am part of the Apple family I love them.

Everything you know and love about DonationCoder.com will stay the same, except for a few minor changes:
  • All MS Windows-based versions of our software will be discontinues as of April 4th.
  • All current software will be ported to the Apple iPhone.
  • The official website url will be changing to iDonationCoder.com
  • All about boxes will now show a photo of Stever Jobs with a glowing Halo above his head.
  • Our software will only be available on iTunes and will cost $500 per license.

ps. I have been informed by Steve Jobs that the following terms should no longer be used to describe our stuff: donationware, freeware, software, shareware, etc.

From now on please only use the proper term: iWare.

Hello iDonationCoder.com friends,

This is to inform you that in addition to the previously stated changes, we have decided to introduce iDonationCoder.com support packages starting from $24.95 per issue or $29.95 per 10-minute support session.

Additionally, we will soon be releasing a comprehensive list of support packages along similar lines to help meet growing demand from our customer community.
We strive to keep our customers happy by providing high quality products at extremely affordable prices and friendly support packages for your computing needs.

We are happy to see that a number of Small and Medium Businesses have benefitted from our services and so we shall be introducing a Best Small Business award for the most active SMB on the iDonationCoder.com portal. Such a winner will be officially given the title of "iSMB of the year".

The process will be as follows:
1. Each applicant will detail his/her contributions and benefits derived from iDonationCoder.com
2. Possibly the financial and other legal documents to support the claimed figures.
3. The applications will be reviewed by our screening community and we will decide three final winners.
4. The decision of the screening committee will be final and binding.

Winners will be entitled to a free one-year subscription to special iDonationCoder.com sections like SMB Central and iSMB.

Kindly note that due to a speedy acquisition process, we have not been able to finalize the subscription packages for these zones for the general public so far. We apologize for the same and will soon be fixing the issue.

In addition to benefits like access to these special SMB zones, paying members will get attractive free gifts like handouts for display at their various office locations, audio clips, and cellphone ringtones to greet their friends and family with, and a free download of the client software. Additionally, one email support issue comes totally free with paid membership.

We hope you enjoy this new offering of ours as much as we enjoy providing it for you.

Yours sincerely,
2stepsback,
Chief of Operations,
iDonationCoder.com Support

And there are exactly 2 Statements that are true for every situation that nobody can deny:

1. Mouser is telling always the truth (on ALL Days of the year) and
2. The Earth is a flat disk and not a sphere

Srikat got me as a fool already in the irc channel with another horror message about DC...no, no...NOT AGAIN!

LOL

Thanks for posting about that 2steps, i forgot to mention those details.

I should also remind people not to contact 2steps directly -- doing so will void your service contract.  Instead please call your local iDonationCoder town representative, who will give you a proper region identification code, which you can then use to determine your support representative, who will be able to direct your support phone call appropriately.

You forgot to mention the real reason why Apple would want DonationCoder:

They want Cody. They heard he is very good at deworming apples.  :D

Look what I found in the IRC channel quotes list:

<JoTo>   mouser will sell dc to digg!

For those of you that don't know, I am the keeper of the quotes in dc's IRC channel. If you say something really funny or embarrassing (that you hope nobody saw), I will see it and make sure everyone else does too....
in blinding yellow...
every time you return to the channel.  :D
(it's never mean spirited, it's all in fun and a lot of laughs)

JoTo and mouser are tied for the most quotes in the file, at 21 each.
