If you're a programmer or have a friend who is one, who likes making games, here's your chance to be a star!

Does anyone know where is a good site for royalty-free sounds and sound-effects?

Well, I won't be entering this contest, but I've received some email from a blind user of my software and I'll be trying to work in some accessibility in a future version.

It won't be easy to start, but this is something that has always been on my mind. Until I got that email though, it was a VERY distant priority.

Fortunately he gave me some resource links to find out more so that I can work it in.

While good eye-sight is something a lot of us take for granted, not everyone has it. (I believe that it can be partially fixed by smoking marijuana, but if I'm wrong you'd at least have fun trying.)

But honestly, I had no idea that there was an entire genre of games out there like that. (But I don't play games either - they're more addictive than heroin.)

In any event, good luck to the participants and may the most fun game win! :D

A buddy of mine just came up with an excellent idea.
Now I just need to come up with the time.
But I just came up with a cool & fun idea on how to build it.
So, I think I might just join in the fun on this.

Tinjaw, that's almost a poem! :)

Mouser, the text seems unclear.  Does this mean it has to be "blind" fro those that are not blind?  My app will be perfectly usable by sightless participants, but it has enhancements that should make it usuable by folks that can see.

ill update the text to be clearer; the only requirement is that it be playable by someone who CANT see.
it's fine if it has visuals for those that can.

so this is fine:

The accessibility contest has not had much participation it seems, just around 5 entries!  Hopefully it will pick up a little at the end.
