You're on a tech forum....one where people ask (far stupider) questions every single day....Never be afraid to ask questions on DC!!

This might be better placed in the Coding Snack Request section though, just on the basis that it seems rather specific and I imagine it would likely need to be created rather than found :)

You're wanting to take GPS data and broadcast it via UDP?

Can you access the NMEA data output by the GPS?

If so you can probably use the code from gpsfeed+ to take the raw NMEA input and output it as UDP packets, (among other formats).

If this become a coding snack, as for the WinApi way i would need source.exe and target.exe to readout needed handles ( internal process things ) that are needed to do it professional.
AutoHotKey would need some info for sure too :-)

And... being serious, should I continue here or start over on the coding snacks thread?

One of our illustrious moderators can move this thread over ... save some typing  ;)

Just looked up the Maidenhead system, another similar system is What 3 Words (W3W), (as in reducing location to a referenced square).

Would have moved it quicker but I couldn't find the move button and then I couldn't work out where the hell this section was in the list of 8739878978747987092879870972390709872309802387 sections  ;D ;D

Anyhow - Moved.

My simplistic solution would be to simply use Pulover's macro creator to pull up the program to the foreground if it wasn't already, click the"Convert Grid" button, read/copy the 6 digits from the box, pull up WSJT-X to foreground, send F2 to open options page, select the "general" tab and select all>paste the data from GridLocWM into the "My Grid" field and then click OK. Crude as surgery with a bowling ball, but it would work. It's just not a pretty solution and wouldn't work for everyone(anyone else?).

You explained very well whats needed to do.
This yells for a AHK solution, as long SkWire or other AHK gods sleep i play a bit with that GridLocWM and WinApi :-)

Thanks to any and all who took the time to read the above request. I have looked into what this would require on my own and have determined that this is far too much to ask someone to do. Even an experienced coder would likely take several weeks. Therefore, I have decided to implement my original "ugly" plan to script this in order to get the results. Please consider the above request as withdrawn.

Thanks again to all.

It is not a problem you withdraw your request, but I'm a bit disappointed you have removed all text, so nobody can pick it up later or give helpful suggestions
