Playing a configurable sound on connect and disconnect is a good idea for a feature for skwire to add to his.

You are welcome, skwire   ;)

This may also be useful to you, as it gives off a sound on no internet.

Play a sound if there is no response, simply add the -d parameter to the command
Regards,
Anand

Thanks for the idea, but i like skwire's utility better.
I agree with mouser that this would be a nice addition to skwire's utility.

I use PerfGraph for something similar.
I have two instances which ping my router and google and report the ping of each, also, there is color coding for late and very late packets.
So if all is well, teh graph is Green, and I use Orange and Red to show about packets late or dropped.
That way I know if the issue is at my end or my ISPs.
Also helps in troubleshooting when the internet is not disconnected, but slow.

This is how it looks.

@shmuel1:  Thank you for the icons.  I'm glad the application is working for you.   ;)
@techidave: If you do try it out, let us know how you get on with it.

I have not used any of the other recommendations in this thread.  But I do like trayhostchecker so far.  I just started using it today.

I use "PingInfoView" http://www.nirsoft.n...tiple_ping_tool.html, though not in tray, it shows red icon when no connection.

Regards,

Anand
