no, you don't want those files, those are just for setting the directory to be used for the real settings file.
you want AutomaticScreenshotter.ini

if you're not seeing that file, perhaps i've done something wrong and am not saving that in the portable location?

I found a Windows environment to try it out -- there it looked like the .ini file didn't get created until the program exited. Since I didn't know how to exit it under the Wine environment...

I copied the .ini file over to the Wine environment and made the change suggested, but subsequently starting the .exe didn't display a window -- similar thing happened in the Windows environment.

The portable version with sha256 checksum:

still behaves as reported before (regarding non-minimization at start-up).

FWIW, the options window displays an unchecked checkbox for "Start minimized".

This was tested with W7 Professional 64-bit version.

Ah, may be you hadn't changed anything in the last update...

First real test, I would like to have:

- hotkey to toggle suspend / resume capture

- Related to "Capture Rules > this many pixels: [1000]"
show me the resolution of my monitor(s), so I know how many 1000 pixels are in real (compared to e.g. 786.432 pixels)
And / Or use a percent approach: this many percent of total pixels: [5 ] %
Maybe a combination: current approach "this many pixels: [1000]" plus something like "That are 0,03 % of your total res"

- misc options > Sound:
Would be nice to have playing a sound perhaps five times, just to know it works,.... then be silent.
[_] Play sound on each.....
[X] Play sound first five times

- On start > tray bubble:
Please an option to disable this feature.

Explanation: I on my own don't want to have this tool running all the day, but only e.g. on installing a new application to monitor the steps.

What do you think?

This should do it:

(and make sure you have capturing enabled when you exit the program -- it will try to startup in the same state it exited).

It's possible that the option does not work..

But let me ask, when you say it doesnt't work for you, can you elaborate? Does the program start when you boot up now, but capturing doesn't begin, or does it not start up at all?
Anyone else test this?

Not sure if this the correct thread mouser,
portable version:
in the included image browser, when I delete a file -- whether I do Shift+Del or just Del -- I get the same dialogue asking do I want to permanently delete. [Maybe that's the only delete option?]

PS, in my ideal world, I would have the option to not show a dialogue for regular delete (recycle bin), and to continue to display dialogue for Shift+Del (this for Screenshot Captor too!). But this a trivial request in terms of importance.
(I had that option at some stage but cant remember where: I thought it was with dopus, but no.)

There is an option "Don't ask me to confirm deletion of files" -- but note that it's in the Image Browser tool (under File menu) not in the Automatic Screenshotter tool.
