Dog's heroic action saves 79-year-old owner's life

A Pennsylvania dog proved his ultimate loyalty on Thursday after his owner was injured while hiking.

The four legged hero named "Guy" led rescuers to his 79-year-old owner who fell and hit his head while hiking in the woods.

The dog reportedly ran up the bank where the rescuers were, and would stop every 20-30 feet, barking until he led them to where the elder man was lying.

Rescuers say the man had been in the woods for more than 12 hours when they found him.

"It was like watching an episode of 'Lassie,'" says emergency responder, Matthew Mariscano.

What happens when you mix climbing-addicted goats with big tough rhinoceroses?

This guys was in hospital for over a month and lost 50 pounds.  At first his dog doesn't recognize him and is suspicious:

The reaction when he finally recognizes him is priceless.

Friendly woodpecker gets a tour of Chicago:

that was fun
odd they dont give any credit to the original
https://www.youtube..../watch?v=nOXgjBUFB7s

one of the comments says:
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, adult [female]. No fledglings in April. Migrating, probably tired and hungry. Possibly dazed from colliding with a building?
-
the original uploader says it flew off in the end

Not a huge fan of seals.   They are VERY strong and can hurt you quite easily and if one bites you, it can cause a specifically nasty infection peculiar to seal bites.  Look up "Seal Finger"  :'( .  That said, the seal in question does seem friendly and cute, I just wouldn't get that close if I were him.
