Firstly, let me just say, that it is because of you that I will no longer be supporting ANY developer (Except DonationWare here on DonationCoder).

The reason I paid for software, games, music, videos, and anything else digital for that matter, was because I had the ability to be able to download the entire version of it, for free, with no obligation, first.

Now that isn't possible (Although it is, and I can actually still access PirateBay via VPS) I have no means of knowing if something is worth my money.

Who, realistically, wants to spend £50 on a game, which, could end up being absolute shit? - Not like you can trade in games you buy from Steam, or any other digital store tbh...so its dead money, and, in this economy, one cannot simply waste that amount of money.

A random but good example of this, is a recent games purchase I made. I had downloaded a random game called "Farming Simulator 2011" just for the sheer hell of it, however, the pirated version of this only allowed me to play offline...long story short, is, I wanted to play this online, so...I purchased the game AND a second copy to gift to a friend...Bearing in mind, there is no chance in hell I would have even considered buying a SINGLE copy of this game, let-alone TWO copies before I found it to be quite good for a boredom cure.

So, to sum up this short post...Take away my piracy, I no longer buy your stuff

For those unfamiliar, PirateBay is now blocked in the UK at an ISP level.

Imagine how much money I am going to be saving each year due to this!

- Last year alone I spent around £2000 on software I had downloaded torrents of and decided the developers had done a good enough job to warrant my spending.

A piece of 2x4 is a great leveller of doggies....and people.

Not to mention a water pistol filled with cloudy ammonia will also deter doggies quite well.

The recent US Crackdown has made me less likely to buy new music. More often than not I would first hear a song on youtube and after listening to it that way would decide I like it enough to go buy a proper MP3 of it for my collection.

Because they are hell bent on taking that away, I haven't been buying as much music as I used to because I haven't been able to find out about songs I like anymore.

I can understand the same thing happening for software, although honestly would it kill the developers to make more demo versions that actually represent the product instead of just loading up looking pretty then BAM INSERT LICENSE KEY TO CONTINUE.

I'm always hesitant about new software, and it is nice if I can test something before paying for it. Surely with all of our technology they can come up with a way to do exactly that, because other than really big ticket stuff like Skyrim that I can find a friend who has it in order to try out I really don't like the idea of paying a lot of money for something I might not like.
