But Stone 1 has been out there for quite some time already, so I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for Stone 2

It's feature set is already rock-solid

True. But, as I understand it, the folks at Redmondstone have a motto: "A rolling stone gathers no moss". I'm sure they're actively developing Stone 1.0's successor...
