NANY 2010 some early ideas
« on: October 09, 2009, 01:12 AM »
I've just created this NANY 2010 section to help us plan the New Apps for the New Year Event that is coming up at the end of 2009..

For those unfamiliar with our wonderful NANY events, see this section for 2009 details: https://www.donation...ndex.php?board=273.0

We are going to have to work hard to make this year bigger and better than last year!

Programmers: Make your pledge to participate here: https://www.donation...ex.php?topic=20533.0

do we need a theme this year? having a theme hasnt really worked out in the paste, but it's worth asking again.

I don't really like the idea of a theme for NANY. I think variety is better for this event. Save themes for other coding challenges.

I concur with app. I think NANY is already too much of a brand to need a theme.

As a consumer rather than a producer I suspect that the absence of a theme produces a more interesting variety of output.

Personally I'm not keen on a Theme, per se. In past NANYs there was no requirement to adopt a Theme or benefit if you did, which left me wondering why you would.

The lines are drawn, it's a matter of us or theme.

As a 1st-timer and business man, I agree with the "No Theme"  8)
