What audio software is best for medical transcription?
« on: February 17, 2009, 12:51 AM »
Hi, the voice of the dictator becomes clearer w/ practice : ) I use Bytescribe. I've also used Express Scribe and don't see a huge difference in clarity. Sometimes using the aluminum stetho headphones helps to hear better. They fit deep in the ear canal though.

Or if we're dragging up necrothreads, you could also use my software. It's used for transcriptions by some people. :P

Maybe it's just me, but it seems counterproductive to promote a transcription service with a spambot.

Unless every transcription comes with free "product placement" ads.

That could be interesting. Ads for mail order Viagra and "dating sites" randomly inserted into every transcription. Not so much useful but potentially damn funny.
