Ok,
Keeping with the new policy, i have released the new version as a beta with both last stable version and current beta available for download.
The new version has some nice features, most of which have been requested by users, including better control over which messages you want to see, and some interesting foreground boosting options (you can choose to always boost the foreground process to high priority, or just to always keep foreground process from being tamed; make a rule to ignore an app if you want to exclude this behavior for a given app).
i've also added an option that lets you tell process tamer itself to always run at high priority which can be useful if you have apps that sometimes uses so much cpu that you can't get control of it (thanks eFotografo for the tip:

note:
if you check both "boost foreground" and "protect foreground" then you could end up in a very counter-productive situation where the foreground app is out of control and is given HIGH priority instead of being decreased in priority - which would make the situation worse. Having both checked would really only make sense in some rare cases. But having only one of these checked will avoid this.
