Que es lo que no se entiende? :)

Verification number = myspace captcha
They use those inputs to automatically create accounts.

You propose using CAPTCHA to get humans to digitize entire books for us? Like this?

I think what he's showing us is that one site (a crack site) is having people solve the MYSPACE captcha in order to download a file.

There is a term for this though i can't recall it at the moment.

Basically you are tricking unwitting humans into doing an automated solution of a captcha on another site, by making them think they are solving a captcha to get something on a different site.

(That's why myspace put a watermark on their captcha image, to warn people).

Sounds like Captcha Phishing.

Yes, I'll take credit for entering that term into the official lexicon. :-D

Fine, but I don't really see how this would help the cracks site. I mean, captcha phishing (yes, thank you Deeozan )  is not the same as password phishing. There is no benefit to be gained here for the cracks site as compared to implementing their own captcha solution. Unless, i'm missing something...Someone enlighten me please!

icekin: the idea is that they can create myspace accounts using the captchas that were solved by the people trying to get software at their site.

in other words, their *real* goal is to create lots of fake myspace accounts in an automated fashion.
to do that, they need to solve the myspace captchas.
so they are tricking downloaders from their site to solve the myspace captchas for them.

So in other words, perhaps a more clear topic is:

If you can't afford OCRw (Optical Character Recognition) to help in automatically creating a bunch of MySpace accounts, then get a bunch of freeloaders (people coming for cracks) to do the work for you!

- and I didn't understand it until you, Deozaan explained it  :-[  But then again, I never go to myspace and don't understand why anyone would want a lot of fake accounts such place?
