By the way, is Paste Text Like abandoned for good?
No. None of my pet apps are abandoned. They are like my children.
Only problem is that the father is heavily under pressure of bread and butter jobs.

The one NANY 2020 I am working is not getting full times as desired, due to my work pressure. I still have hope that Almighty will give me free time from all these "must-do" works.

Anand

Solved.

Googling gave me many solutions but none worked. Then at on webpage it was suggested to check Bluetooth drive number from "device manager" and download driver for it.

On opening "device manager" I found disabled marker on Bluetooth and when I enabled it, all working fine.

Why I did not go to "device manager" ? Well Win+S (search) "bluetooth" never gave suggestion for "device manager" ! Though it gave option to fix it never fixed, see images in original message.

Microsoft !!!

I did work on this project today, and the 'retrieve data from the ListView'-tests resulted in adding some little features. Look like this will be the GUI for the next 'release':
Good progress

Thanks for the inspiration, but not to "compare". Everyone's creation is good from the point view one sees and requirement it satisfies.
Just to have another option for nearly the same requirement. Maybe some features here and there.

Will speed up now :)

Ah! Oh! Winkie beats me !!
Congratulation Winkie

I was working on it and was planing for 31 Dec, but looks like it is too late :(

Now, should I abandon it ? as two apps for same feature is of less use to community, I think.

Android Apps / Re: Updating my Android Apps
« on: December 11, 2019, 10:54 AM »
Objectively terrible numbers, but that's ok, never expected much and the apps are free so it's not like it matters  :P
You have managed/developed so many apps for store. That also counts

I don't know the process to transfer a license but I would be happy to do so if you think it would work for you.
IDM gives 3/5 computers license, AFAIK. You can check with them. They are very prompt in customer satisfaction and I have got many features and fixes done as per my requirements.

For RSS, I warmly recommend Newsblur.
I need extension (free) in the browser and Feebro is satisfying my need now. It is totally in my control and easy to use. I previously used Google rss reader and also CommaFeed.

I have no favorite or dislike for any browser. I use X 'browser' which satisfies my need and increases my efficiency.
Along with required extensions, I have found FireFox fulfilling my current need.

I began with Netscape, Ie, Chrome and FireFox. I have tried Opera, Vivaldi (now) and many other browsers.

My first chance of using FireFox came when I was using Chrome and Gmail was introduced. I need a keyboard shortcut to delete a message quickly. I found Greasemonkey and script to delete and also label. I myself made script for removing label and shared in that forum.

Now all is available in GMail itself, but that incident showed me the power of extension in FireFox. I have posted above my current extensions. I may post in details what benefit I get from them and why I can not live without them, even if the browser itself is more powerful otherwise.

Anand

Well I installed and tried Vivaldi. First impression looks good and also speedy.
Checked gmail, seems faster than FireFox.
Next searched for extension Feedbro (rss reader), no result. rss also no result.
My schedule of reading all rss feeds from all forums, including DC, got stopped.

Back to Firefox.

Will check time to time for my required extensions, to give a go again to Vivaldi.
BTW I also use Opera for its free VPN.

Well as a user of UltraEdit for last 6 years, I can vouch UltraEdit is one of the best commercial text editor.
It has too many features, which may be overkill for you if you are just looking for filtering lines. Otherwise if you use it as code editor, you may not go back to any other editor, IMHO.

Checked https://www.slant.co...a-firefox_vs_vivaldi, but even after checking the pros/cons, I did not find any feature which I require and is missing in FF. Well maybe in future, if I need one, I will check it in both.

Most of those have equivalents on Chrome and Vivaldi AFAICS.
If Vivaldi works same, then no benefit in changing FF.
Chrome I use just to check sites. FF for all my works.

The feature is available in commercial UltraEdit https://www.ultraedit.com/, but since you are interested in free one, this will not do.
I remember I had one, few years ago, which filtered the text lines as I typed, but do not remember it now.
I will keep looking.

I can not do without those extensions I use regularly.

Which ones?

Chrome is very very slow for me.

Try Vivaldi.

Presently these,

BTW I am missing 'Extension Dumper' extension now.

I had checked Vivaldi but did not find anything to leave FF for it.

I do not develop for FireFox but use it and still happy with all the extensions it has.
I can not do without those extensions I use regularly.

Chrome is very very slow for me. Edge is fast (obviously) but lacks the extensions I want.

My Win10 64bit laptop got updated to ver. 1903.

2019-11-29_213338.png

After this update I cannot find bluetooth option in charms bar. Searching for bluetooth show in system but trying to enable it showing error.

2019-11-29_213042.png

Before the update bluetooth was working fine, and no any software or hardware were occurred which may have affected it. So conclusion is the win update did it. Tried to fix it but no solution.

Plus I think searching for executables not in the start menu would turn up some occasional surprises, like executable tools that come with a program that you didn't know existed, or portable apps that you forgot about.
Hmm..this is very good point.

Isn't this will be reverse of FARR ?

I only use FARR and get .exe from both "Program files" and "Portable" folders to execute. Your suggestion is to make menu of the "Portable" folder and also those missing in "Program files".

Any reason for not using FARR ?

And add to "codebank" online sync to different computer.

I have just added my suggestion, rest is on you.
BTW I use www.resoph.com/ResophNotes/Welcome.html for simple codes storing with online sync., but it has its limitation too.
