I have come to view AVG as a loathesome bloated blight.. I strongly advise against using it.  It has become ever more painful and confusing to use over the years.
Yes. I left AVG for good since last 2 years. I am not regretting.

Relying on default Windows Defender now.
No 3rd party anti-virus now, as developing in AutoHotkey is problem for most of them.

N.A.N.Y. 2014 / Re: N.A.N.Y 2014 Release: ESC Close
« on: October 25, 2020, 04:34 AM »
How would one close a Windows Explorer window?

Write *,CabinetWClass in 'set window title' option of 'settings'.

You can find it in 'select from open windows' button.

Reduced prices.
Where ?

Here the prices have actually increased due to shortage and non-running of transport.

Working from home, but not comfortable as office setup is missing.
Yes, can start work late and no need to dress.

I think, I should thank all the members who has been posting many tools which I have never heard but looks very much useful.

So     and

BTW we should add a "like" button to message in next Forum code upgrade, IMHO.

On that note, of course someone would come up with something to spot fake reviews.

Hi jcnassoc,

FARR only searches for file in 'search folders' given in options. Check it if the usb drive is listed there.

Would have liked to say Hello and see members, but time is constraint ; it will be early morning here, no zoom yet AND working on office projects from home.

So will love to see the recording later, if uploaded.

100,000 .mp3 files -- intermixed with other formats, such as .flac -- in a giant tree structure.  Branches of trees are "Artist" and "Album".

I wanted to move ONLY the .mp3 files to another drive, leaving .flac, etc., where they are.

As you've said, a myriad of programs out there to do it.  Such as xcopy, robocopy, richcopy.

Thought it best to use a gui program, to see more clearly what's about to happen... before pressing go.

I suggest to use Total Commander https://www.ghisler.com/
You can filter on *.mp3 and press Ctrl+B, then F5 copy to new folder.
All sub folders will be created automatically.

After using so many uninstaller, all crap, I found the best HiBit Uninstaller

Free, Portable, no Ads, no Frill etc.
Gets the job done and cleans too.

https://www.b4x.com/b4a.html

I am an user of B4A for last few years. Though I personally have not made any android app due to my paid project workload, B4A is the best Android app development tool, I have found.

  • Screen Designer - No need to fiddle with Xml
  • Library for nearly everything under the sun - Most Free
  • Full featured IDE - Syntax highlight, code helper etc.
  • Great Community Forum - Just like our DC :)
  • and much more..

I am really very happy to inform/introduce B4A to our DC members. And I hope developing Android app will be like developing in AutoHotkey now :)

Full instruction on download and installation given on the website.

Anand

Maybe you just didn't try hard enough, or enough times. Don't give up now! Give it everything you've got!

You were right, exerting mighty force at least produced the sound of bells; my ears are ringing.
