I have already used this new functionality three times (and I don't mean for testing), it's great!  It's something I didn't realise I needed.

77
I downloaded the latest version and the option not to resize works great.

Dare I suggest another (minor) tweak?  Most times I think I would choose '3 Combine images, putting one next to the other' most times, so make this the default button for me.

Edit: Another option to maybe not show the 'WARNING: You have objects that may not resize properly' after the first time it is shown.

As always keep up the good work.

Thanks

I like this feature Mouser

However when adding one image to the other, is there any chance you could allow to to add a smaller image at it's current size an existing larger image and say centre it?  Maybe the unused border could be set using transparency.

I have attached a screenshot where I have combined a smaller image onto a larger image and it doesn't look right.

Thanks

I am afraid Panda Cloud antivirus is also flagging as suspicious. I just switched it off while I downloaded and installed SSC.

LaunchBar Commander / Re: Problems showing hints
« on: August 11, 2014, 06:32 AM »
The problem somehow resolved itself for me, presumably with an update since January or maybe it was environmental issue on my PC.

When I switched from the tray to a toolbar then I don't get the hints.

Currently I am running version 4.8.5.

LaunchBar Commander / Re: Errors/Program Termination on Save

Sorry but I can't find the steps to reproduce it. It only seems to happen after a few days of not restarting my PC (hibernation) and when I make a change to my settings it bombs out.  As the problem takes days to reproduce it's something I can't help you with.

I first reported this type of error some time back (see here). It still happens on a regular basis running under Windows XP (using the full version and not the portable one).

Hi Mouser,

That took you a little over an hour to get that bug fixed and out for release, I am really impressed!  Sorry I didn't get around to beta testing or I would have caught it then.

Thanks very much for your prompt response.

LaunchBar Commander / Issue after installing V1.142.01
« on: May 16, 2014, 07:09 AM »
Since upgrading to v1.142.01 I am encountering an issue with Microsoft Lync.

For example I have node type of "Command" with: sip:[email protected] (I replaced the last part with xxx & yyy to protect the innocent).  Prior to the upgrade this worked fine but now I get an error "File could not be found to launch: 'sip:[email protected]'. Once I close this error dialog, the correct Microsoft Lync window opens as before.  Similarly I am getting this same type of error while trying to run a command prompt (CMD) via LBC.

I can successfully run these commands without issue from the windows run prompt.

Any ideas?

Living Room / Re: Recommend a 64GB\128GB pendrive

Hey Stoic Joker, maybe that can be a new measure of speed for thumb drives.

Stoic Joker Not pissed off = fast
Stoic Joker pissed off = acceptable
Stoic Joker jumping on his thumb drive = slow (and broken)

MilesAhead - that is great value for the 64GB @ $33. It's a shame they don't ship outside of the US (at least at a reasonable price).

I found it on www.amazon.co.uk for £29 but to delivery to Ireland (it's only across the water) the seller wanted £30!  Go figure.

So to get it in the US would cost $33 and for me to get it delivered from a UK seller via Amazon would cost me $102 - triple the price.

So there you are in the one post I managed to get the $, £ and the €.

Edit - I added a screenshot of the costs from Amazon UK to Ireland

Living Room / Recommend a 64GB\128GB pendrive
« on: April 01, 2014, 06:38 AM »
Hi,

I am looking to get myself a USB 3.0 pen\thumb drive.  Many of the sites I go to don't specify read\write speeds so I was wondering if someone could recommend a 64\GB or 128GB drive that has a balance of read\write speeds versus the cost?

Are there other factors I should consider?

Thanks

LaunchBar Commander / Problems showing hints
« on: January 08, 2014, 03:41 AM »
I raised this issue sometime back but I can't find the thread, however I have more details on the issue.

If I have a dock that is not minimised to the tray, I can get LBC to show hints on items at the top level but not in lower menus.  If I minimise the dock to the tray, then no hints show at all.  I have attached a few screenshots to show what I mean (or at least what I am trying to convey).  I also included a test dock (zipped as I couldn't upload it as it was an invalid extension) that I used for testing the problem.

General Software Discussion / Re: Collage software recomendation

No it's not a vision board (I had to look up what it was!). I thought I'd try create a collage with various photographs.  I'd prefer the 'artistic' layout rather than what I would consider the formal straight arrangement.

Google Picasa looks promising and with a price tag I appreciate - free :)

Hi,

Would anybody recommend collage software?  Once that might take around 25-30 photographs on the one page.

Thanks

LaunchBar Commander / Bug in Tools?
« on: December 05, 2013, 03:02 AM »
Hi,

I was trying all the various maintenance operations and when I clicked Tools -> Maintenance Operations -> Fixup All Changed Item Drive Letters after about 20 seconds I got a grey screenful of 'issues' and then I have to go into Task Manager and force close LBC (version 1.136.01).

Does this happen to anyone else?

Screenshot Captor / Re: Poor man's 'gallery view' in Screenshot Capture
« on: September 16, 2013, 07:07 AM »
I like the idea of an integrated browser tool, it's not me who has to do the hard work in coding it!  However, I think the filter option was a great bonus and I use it frequently.

Is there a keyboard shortcut to toggle the Thumbnail Viewer as I can't seem to find one but it would be helpful to be able to toggle it with a shortcut.

Having said all that, I just configured the (free for personal use) XnView as a tool in SC to browse the screenshot directory, and it does a very nice job.  Since you can drag+drop files from XnView into SC, it's hard to find a compelling reason to code another tool rather than just tell people to install XnView.  I'll add a default .sctool to the next Screenshot Captor release so that the XnView tool will show up automatically in your Screenshot Captor tool menu if you have XnView installed.  Ditto with IrfanView's thumbnail browser.

Instead of waiting for the next release of SSC could you attach the .sctool files now?

Thanks

The search bar is a great addition

However, I get unexpected behavior. For example, if I search for 01_08_13 (this is for images that were created on 1st August 2013 and had the date as part of the name), I also seem to get a copy of the another image.  In the attachment below the 'unwanted' image was from 15th August and after I took the screenshot of SSC it refreshed the panel and replaced the incorrectly included image with the latest image I had just taken!

Can anyone else reproduce this or is it just my set-up?

[Edit]: If I type total random garbage into the search bar the same image shows up.

I am not sure what should happened when I run explorer.exe shell:::{67718415-c450-4f3c-bf8a-b487642dc39b} but I used DOPUS as my explorer replacement and it opens my Desktop (I am running Windows XP SP 3).

I have just installed the beta and while I don't use much of what you have changed, I will report if I encounter any problems with my day to day usage of LBC.

Still no hints!  I'll try it at home to see if it works there (but it may not be an issue there).
