speaking of trust, that's what i'm working on right now as my day job.

I cannot seem to reproduce your issue on my end using openssl-1.0.1e compiled from scratch.

I've modified the build script to download a specific version of openssl, build it, and link when building mcps.
This modification is not yet in the master branch, but you can get it from https://github.com/h...e/hdz/custom-openssl or as a handy .zip file right here https://github.com/h...z/custom-openssl.zip

Can you please then run the build script as follows:
[Select]
./build.sh nix64bit 1.0.1e

This should download openssl 1.0.1e, the same version you're using already, build it and link against the just built version.
Please let me know if this behaves any differently from your previous test.

Just wanted to give a quick heads up. I'm currently a bit busy with work and private matters to immediately dig into this issue.
However, I've got a vacation coming up end of next week and if I didn't manage to already take a closer look at it by then, I will for sure during my vacation :)

that's a little odd. however the passphrase entering and decryption stuff is all in code that i haven't really touched to implement the key exchange logic :/

Here we go.
I've re-packaged it a bit and put it on Github.
Please clone the repo from here https://github.com/h...d/mircryption-xchat2 or simply download release 0.4.1 from here https://github.com/h...tion-xchat2/releases

Now make sure you have xchat-common and libssl-dev packages installed.

Once you cloned or downloaded it, run ./build.sh nix64bit
This should automagically fetch the mircryption source, apply the necessary changes and build the shared object.
Once the build succeeded, you should find the final outcome in ./build/mircryption.so

Let me know if this works for you

Looking at the most prominent error message in your paste, I'd say you're missing the xchat-plugin.h header ;)

mircryption.cpp:99:26: fatal error: xchat-plugin.h: No such file or directory

You have to install xchat-common and add /usr/include/xchat/ to the include path

Hi there fellow DCers,

haven't been around in a while, but here goes :)

I'm currently looking (kind of desperately) for a copy of beep.sys from a Win XP x64 system (the x64 is crucial here, 32bit wont do).
I already found it on the net on the classic but rather shady "dll download" portals.
I'd much rather get it from someone that has a higher reputation and trust-level than randomwebsite.com ;)

So, are there any folks out there still running XP x64 and willing to share a copy of their beep.sys?
Any help is much appreciated :)

Okay, after a lot of back and forth via PM I think we've arrived at a good compromise :)
First stopover from here will be Warsaw, Poland where fenixproductions will be hosting Baby Cody.
Then it'll be over the big pond to y0himba in Titusville, Pennsylvania, USA.
From there another trip over another pond down to Auckland, New Zealand and from there possibly to Thailand.

Now I'm really getting envious :x

I'll be seeing Baby Cody off within the week once I've made travel arrangements :)

Hi there,
it's been quite a while since I've been truly active here with anything coding related.

I've been working with the boost library for the last weeks and really like it.  However, I've barely scratched it on the surface.
I'm now looking for a good book on the topic to get into it in way more detail.
I've already got a couple of years of C++ experience under my belt so I'm not looking for anything like the 'Dummies' series ;)
Something that covers best practices, examples, and patterns would be perfect.

So here I am, asking for your recommendations on the topic :)
Any pointers you can give me are much appreciated.

After a day at the zoo, the proper German way to relax is with a cold one.  Of course one of the several locally brewed ones.
Cody sampled it as well and approved of the taste.

Yesterday Baby Cody went on a daytrip to Wilhelma, the Stuttgart Zoological Garden.
Weather was beautifully sunny and warm, perfect for little Cody to fly around a little.

Att times it was hard finding him again, just check the attached photo.
