Nod5:

You did it!

It works like a charm!

Thank you so much.

I am really grateful.

Hi! I have a DAC connected to my computer that sometimes doesn't wake up after my PC awakens after sleep.

If I go to Control Panel --> Sound and disable and re-enable it, it works again.

I don't want to use AutoHotkey, but if anyone reading this could create a tiny program that enables me to disable and then enable my default sound playback device, that would be really, really great.

Thanks!

Clipboard Help+Spell / Importing from old version
« on: March 25, 2020, 12:18 AM »
I hope that I haven't missed the discussion of this theme before but I just installed the new Alpha and tried to import the database from the previous version of CHS, and it didn't work.

I have a lot of favorites, etc. and at the same time I understand that the database format has changed greatly.

Do you think it's possible to have an import for users of the earlier version?

Thanks!

Clipboard Help+Spell / autocopy function?
« on: November 01, 2018, 05:46 PM »
I love clipboard help and spell. In fact, it's one of my most used and most valued programs.

I use Autocopy 2 in WaterFox to automatically copy to the clipboard any text that I select with the mouse, but that doesn't work anywhere else in Windows.

I would love it if you would add AutoCopy as a general function throughout Windows.

I did try DragKing, but it didn't work in WordPerfect or UltraEdit.

Any chance of adding this functionality?

Thanks again for a truly great piece of software.

Xplorer2 pro is one of the best file manager for Windows, if you ask me.  :P
It's not often discounted, but now it is 51% off!  :-*

The link is here :

xplorer2 home page:

I own and have used many different of the top Explorer replacements, and always return to Xplorer2 as by far the best.

For some reason, now the discounts are showing. Before they weren't.

Thanks!

I visited their website and placed an item in their cart, and no discount was applied.

Is there a code to use?

Clipboard Help+Spell / Re: Error EX4: DBISAM Engine Error #11013
« on: November 29, 2016, 10:59 AM »
I finally found a solution that worked for me.

None of the suggestions listed here worked, but since I use WinPatrol, I set a startup delay for CHS to 2 minutes 10 seconds, and now the problem doesn't happen.

9
I will do that.

I've been searching for the past hour and hope to find an easy to use and good solution.

It doesn't have to be freeware if it works well.

10
I looked into Calibre and it doesn't really have that capability

11
I have a lot of articles that I've written that I want to assemble into one or more ebooks.

I can easily format each as a PDF file, but I don't know what software to use to merge them all, in the correct order, and at the same time create a table of contents that updates every time I add a new file.

Can anyone help me?

12
Did you try zipping up the downloaded website and sending it to your Send-to-Kindle email address?

https://www.amazon.c...p/sendtokindle/email

Mentioned on StackExchange.

Might be dependent on how complex the website is though.

I just tried this and got an error message from Kindle: only 25 objects (including each graphic, page, etc.) are allowed, so no go

13
I have created a tutorial website with about 150 articles, so a page at a time just won't work

14
Thank you both of you for your replies.

iSilo does not create ebooks for Kindle, which is my goal, and the other software that I tried either didn't succeed at the conversion (Calibre) or only converts one page at a time, not a website.

15
Of course I searched and searched for those terms but to no avail, which is why I have asked all of you for help.

16
I've been searching the web for days now for a program that will convert an entire website (with links) into an ebook that will work on a Kindle ebook reader.

Does anyone out there know a program that will do this?

I was able to download a website completely using HTTrack and have it function offline, but when I tried to convert it to an ebook using Calibre, Calibre failed every time, even using the command line web2book and other methods.

I know that there are several programs that will convert one HTML page to mobi format, but I need to convert a whole website.

Help please!

17
Yes indeed, I had a previous version installed and uninstalling it solved the issue!

Thank you very much for your speedy response and perfect solution.

18
I downloaded it and installed it, but when I try to run it, I get the error:

Unable to validate product license (ERR:2645)

and so I can't enter the unlock code or use the program  :(

Help please!

General Software Discussion / Re: Simple donut chart software?
« on: October 23, 2015, 06:07 PM »
I appreciate your replies, but what I'm looking for is a desktop, not online, Windows program that is small and  easy to use.

Any one out there know of one?

General Software Discussion / Simple donut chart software?
« on: October 22, 2015, 12:16 AM »
Years ago, I owned a very simple to use free Windows program that allowed me to create Donut charts quickly and easily. But that was several computers ago, and I can't find any software that creates these charts easily and is either free or very inexpensive.

Do any of you know such a program?

Thanks.

I ended up using WeBuilder because it has the "macros" I need to be efficient as well as side by side coding and preview panes.

General Software Discussion / Re: Nice guide to using a RAM disk
« on: November 01, 2014, 04:17 PM »
I installed SoftPerfect RAMdisk and used it for a while, and it caused a such wicked crash and blue screen (Win 7 64 bit) that I had to restore my system from a backup.

Never again!

PriPrinter is the true champ in this arena.

It captures printing from PC programs and from the web, and allows you to format and edit it, save it to PDF, with incredibly power and versatility.

I've evaluated many PDF printing utilities, and this is by far the best!

24
I finally gave up on getting it via FireFox and used Chrome, and got it fine!

25
It does show progress. I only get an error message at the end and no file is actually downloaded (it says 0 bytes)
