Some Folks Like Our Approach..
There just aren't many people or websites that not only offer
great software but are willing to share it in the manner with which you have
I understand that there are freeware sites and others that only ask for
donations but most wouldn't, if any, offer full functionality to those who
can't afford it.

Working for the Man: Essay on Lessons for Young Software Developers

Screenshot - 4_11_2007 , 4_08_47 PM_thumb.png
...
After I'd finished checking for obvious facial wrinkles in the bathroom I decided to go on a quest to find other engineers in the building who were at least as old as I was, and felt much better when I found some. But it set me thinking about what kind of advice I would give if I could meet myself at his age, in order to guide the young Allison into a promising engineering career. So in the best spirit of "The Screwtape Letters", here is some of what I've learned so far about making yourself a career in writing software.

If it's not what you love, don't do it
I've worked with many programmers during my career. Without a doubt, the only ones who are any good at it are those who see writing code as art, a creative process.

This is for all the people out there who have ever helped someone "resolve a technical problem". I hope you appreciate it as much as I did. KR

One of my favorites from 2007.  very clever and funny.. i love when the tech support guy gets up to leave and the customer calls him back.

Flow-inspired game: Bubble Tanks

Sorry to flood you guys with game posts today, but I post 'em as I see 'em, and we all need a quick little break between work..

A long time ago there was a lot of talk about a flash toy called "Flow" (it was very cool but the hype did get quite over the top in the end).  Here's a game clearly inspired by flow called Bubble Tanks.

Quizo QTTabbar

At the Japaneese infoseek.co.jp you can freely have a nice little something, named QT Tabbar. I've tried it for a couple of days and have become so excited about it that it has replaced the Explorer buttons. One of the best features may be the search box; it will search the folder at present, and will search as you type - making it a lot faster to use in subdirectories than the WDS 3.1 which I gave praise to only a few days ago.

Go visit the site and read the manual.
