Funny stuff.. (contains foul language)

How a business meeting would be if people only spoke in 'Internet comments'.

Recomend an RSS Service that can add tons of feeds, filter out most items?

blog clipart
I'm looking for a very specific kind of RSS reader and i'm hoping i can get some recommendations.
I do not want an RSS reader to do daily reading of lots of feeds and sites.

I'm more interested in being able to quickly add tons of feeds (I'd be really happy if there was an easy way to add hundreds of feeds that other people have collected), and then have them monitored for keywords of my choosing, and then only show me items that match one of those feeds.

For example, i'd love to be able to monitor every programming-related rss feed i can find for references to specific tools i care about, etc. (or monitor for rss feeds mentioning donationcoder, etc.)

I don't really care if its a website service or local windows application.  Any suggestions?

How do you organise your 'My Documents' folder?

blog clipart
After a few years of collecting and creating documents, the 'My Documents ' folder has started to burst at the seams. I sat down the other day determined to clean this mess up. but how? I dont really want to delete or archive anything, just organise it properly, and keep it organised.

The ideas i had where
1- A to Z folders with everything filed alphabetically
2- folder based on extensions, ie MyDoc folder, MyPDF folder, MyPics folder, MyTXT folder, MyDWG folder
3- folders based on job/client/theme
4- All piled into one folder, and allow a file search program to locate stuff (X1)

Each has its advantage and disadvantage
1 and 2 can be automated, which is appealing, 3 is practical if you can maintain it, and 4 is just lazy but also easy.

Maybe some members here can offer their wisdom?

Bloons Tower Defense - Very Well Done

Screenshot - 8_19_2007 , 9_35_09 AM_thumb.png
This is a nice example of the Tower Defense genre, which I am a huge fan of.

It's nice to study these games and learn what works and what doesn't, which ones are fun and which aren't.  From a game design perspective it's fascinating to see how authors work within the constraints of the basic paradigm.

For aspiring TD designers, Bloons has an extremely clean and elegant interface (the upgrade system in particular in fantastically intuitive).  The game itself also seems to be very well balanced and challenging.  The only thing perhaps lacking is that the enemies aren't very motivating.

CastleCops Wiki - A complete malware resource

Shot.png
Although it has been mentioned sometimes in loose posts on the forums, I thought I should made a post about it as lately people around here seems to be on a stir about security software for various reasons. The CastleCops wiki, which is the companion to the main CastleCops site, well know through the Internet, houses some amazing knowledge about malware, how it works and (more important) how to clean it. Not only that, but also information on other matters related to security and privacy on the Internet, as well as insight over quite some security software, including comparisons between the most popular tools around. I hope it will clear most of the questions about this tricky part of computing.

Last minute edit: Most of the content is still flagged as 'beta', and some pages need updating.

Re: KenR's health and situation

I made this diagram to illustrate why I'm not getting a present for Ken (click to enlarge):
