Data Generator - My FARR2 Plugin Contest Submission

Data Generator 1.0.0.4 (Updated July 19th, 2007)
Allows you to generate random while useful data.


Click for the Data Generator web page with more info!

Please extract it to a directory named DataGenerator in the FARR2 Plugins
directory or if you already have it you may use DcUpdater to update it.

ham's plugin also makes use of a plugin-specific alias file which works pretty damn cool.
try typing: dgen
then select from the menus that show up.
very clever use of aliases to simulate a hierarchical menu type thing.

Excellent plugin! Finally an easy way to make passwords through FARR

A request: let only specific punctuation be available? the {ALL}{ALL}etc. approach works well, except it seems only the underscore is usually allowed (on password protected sites) from the list of general punctuation, so preferably I'd like only the underscore to be available...

I don't know if that made sense, so bear with me

If you are just wanting letters and numbers with a _ in there somewhere you can use _ where ever you want it and it will output it at that place.

Example Mask: {N}{N}{N}{N}_{#}{#}{#}

and it would return something like the following...

If you want it random I could do it as another mask but then you would have a chance of getting it in more than one place.

A question: is there some quick way to generate a string with {ALL} (or any other mask syntax) that is exactly as long as the user chooses? For example, typing "datagen {ALL}*22" to generate a string with 22 characters. I know I can type "mkpass" and get some preset password lengths/types but I'm asking about choosing any lenght.
