Given that  any compressed image (jpg, gif) etc is already compressed and putting it in a zip will probably not reduce its size why bother?

Is there another program witch can display pictures from a zip file?

Unless you're not trying to further compress the files, but keep them all in one place... I've done it to send in an email... there may be other uses!

I havent heard of any other program that does it, doesnt mean there isnt one out there though.  You may try putting in a feature request to XnView or FastStone authors.

most of the good explorer replacements (directory opus, powerdesk, etc.) can display files in a zip archive as if it was a directory, and if you have thumbnail mode you can see all the thumbnails at a glance etc.

The thing is i read comic/manga with acdsee and i have the chapters in zip files.
It would be a bother to always unzip them and there are literally millions of jpgs.
It's easier to keep them ziped up.

Thnx for the help.

Change the extensions of the ZIP files to CBZ and RAR files to CBR.

Now get CDisplay. It's designed for reading comics: http://www.geocities.../davidayton/CDisplay

You're CBR & CBZ files will now be associated with the program and automatically open when you click on them.

I prefer ACDSee though...it's not hard to unzip images into folders.
