*Bug: MiniCap chokes badly when trying to scroll-cap a browser page that contains flash (Firefox).

*Request: Have ESC (or abort from the context menu) end MiniCap completely as it currently opens the editor when wanting to cancel a capture.

Thanks

I got a chance to play around with it today. It's A LOT better than it used to be, at least from the perspective of it's interface. :)

I'll stick with Winamp though.

General Software Discussion / RunMe Application Launcher

And some other very impressive, beautifully skinned software over at KSoft.

RunMe runs incredibly fast and smooth. You can even replace the crappy start menu with it if you don't want it docked...docked to almost any place you choose to move it. :)

What F0dder said...Foobar's a massive pain to configure the interface. Look at the thousands of Winamp skins. Double click and you're done.

I'll make you a deal...give me a license for Teracopy and I promise to keep my mouth shut. (I'll also refrain from posting the mooning smilies). I'll even make a post saying how great you are everytime Codesector software is mentioned for the next 6 months.  :D

Yeah, the latest DU Meter is pretty nice. BitMeter is a great free alternative.

13
Here's a bunch of other "Chameleon" stuff.

 Strange....very strange indeed. I used Chameleon clock awhile ago actually. Never had any problems. Author added my skin to the package. Never offered me a free license though. :(

Ouch! That's outrageous! I think we should all boycott Codesector!

15
Wow...that's pretty lame. So much for having an opinion or even having the change to discuss it.

I know it tries to download one of their other programs but are there really ads bundled with it?

16.827 Meters...second try.

First try, 1.7 meters.  :D

Hmmm...128.867 meters....ranked 177145

  • Notepad2/WinRAR (I knew I could squeeze it in somewhere ;) )
  • Locate32
  • SlickRun (Recently switched to Executor)
  • Firefox
  • QTTabBar

Should be "50" most used. :p

Oh, I think it's awesome. What's not awesome is the ton of email I get from them....even after disabling the feature.

Great, more code project spam.  >:(

Frank Cho is awesome! Chameleon Desktop....oh so terrible.

I tried it for kicks, thought maybe I could score some free Vladstudio wallpapers out of it. The installer attempted to download and install some other crap. Whoever designed that GUI needs to seriously read up on GUI design. I couldn't even find a way to close it. Had to kill the process manually.

Bad Curt, bad! http://img120.imageshack.us/img120/3356/nuhuhzd8.gif

So what does it NOT work in? Works with everything I've tried.

mnemonic mentioned John's Background Switcher a while ago. It's freeware and can add a simple calendar.

All it needs to do is route through the clipboard. Simple fix really. Obviously it must be extremely difficult to implement. ;)

General Software Discussion / Sprankle Character Map
« on: December 28, 2007, 10:08 AM »
Sprankle is a handy keyboard activated character map. Find the character you need with leaving the keyboard.

Win+S to activate. Shift + key shows uppercase menu. Choose a number to select and it's pasted.

Can't believe I just found out about this. :)

Source included.

Maybe just me, but that list was not what I was expecting. Kinda like first time sex. :(
