I thought it would be fun to get a sense of JUST how many procrasitinators students there are at Donationcoder. I know of at least two high school students, two Bachelors' students, one Masters' student, and five PhD candidates... So, how many more of us are there out there in Codyland?

Sorry, Carl, I dashed the poll off quickly and was having trouble thinking of all the possible types of qualifications that people might be working on. Good thing mouser had the wit to add the "other" choice... Anyway, thanks for taking the time to vote!

PS was going to add "teacher training" to the choices but can see that then I'd be adding "MBA", "CGA", "CA", "BN", "RN", and so on, and so on... I'd *like* to keep it simple, if possible.

PPS Voting is unlocked again...  :-[ I accidentally locked it when stabbing at the "edit poll" button with my ten thumbs and a mouse designed for a mix of fingers and thumbs.

Drat! Another one I forgot. I've added an option for associates degree. Sorry Josh. This is really embarrassing as I teach at a community college in an associates degree programme  :-[

Here's the funny thing. I have a PhD in philosophy, but whenever I've taught at the university level, I've taught undergraduate statistics! Neither are as exciting as computing, especially since I would have never been able to finish my grad degrees without a computer.

Wow - so far the PhD's have it... wonder what (if anything) that tells us  :o. This posting is a partial bump to the thread (I'm shameless). I hope people keep "voting". Not really the right word - "reporting"?

Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to "report" and/or leave a note so far. Keep 'em coming!

Yeah - I was thinking of something like that but couldn't come up something that *felt right*. I like yours, though, it's perfect!

Your vote has also put the Masters students ahead of the PhDs!

Errr, I don't have the slightest about what I'm studying ;D.  I mean, I know what I'm studying, but I don't know its correspondence with the above options. Can anyone explain (an European guy if it's possible)?

Given your age, you must be in university. Given the new Bologna Treaty to which most universities have accepted, you should be doing a Masters or a Bachellor degree. Typically, the Bachellor is the first 3 years at university and the Masters is the last 2. Some universities don't offer the Bachellor and only offer a 5 year Masters Course.  At least... That's how it works in Portugal :)

Hey, thanks João! OK, I fall into Bachelor's net then. My university offers Computer Engineering in two flavors: one, which is the one I'm at currently is directed towards economy and things like that, and lasts three years; two, is the real engineering, and lasts two years. Most people study the first one, and then either does the second or goes to another university for a different Master. I guess this is the price of studying in my home city, you have to go through accounts, statistics and all the nasty things associated with the economical world >:(

Now things are balanced again, mwahaha!
