it's getting crazy, here in germany there's also a new one, called 'die lokalisten' (en: the localists)
they even run TV ads.
but as always, they're just after data that can be used for marketing...
if they're not already backed by a huge company to begin with, all they're planning on is gathering more information about social networks and sell it to some big (or even bigger) company

another one in Germany is Wamadu.

"wamadu" stands for "was machst du?", meaning "watcha doin?". Same as twitter.

I've got a glimpse on some of Twitter pages and wondering: how long the one will keep his phone on receiving TONS of "I just farted" messages. Who needs this kind of "presence"?
