'Smart' cars use less intensive interior lights in the night, why isn't there some automatic like that for monitors?
Since there isn't, I wonder if there's some easy way to change the monitor brightness with the keyboard? Maybe change some other settings too - my monitor has the user-defined 'profile', and profiles for Text (the white has a kinda yellow touch there), Internet (brighter) and Entertainment (even brighter than 'Internet').

The genius Nir Sofer has made VoluMouse, which primarily lets you control the volume, but it also controls the screen brightness.
