IDEA: change monitor brightness with keyboard
« on: December 02, 2006, 02:32 PM »
'Smart' cars use less intensive interior lights in the night, why isn't there some automatic like that for monitors?

Since there isn't, I wonder if there's some easy way to change the monitor brightness with the keyboard? Maybe change some other settings too - my monitor has the user-defined 'profile', and profiles for Text (the white has a kinda yellow touch there), Internet (brighter) and Entertainment (even brighter than 'Internet').

:) The genius Nir Sofer has made VoluMouse, which primarily lets you control the volume, but it also controls the screen brightness.

Go to http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/volumouse.html.
