And if you do so, I would ask for my account and all posts to be deleted @ mouser.

I'm not understanding, I want you to stay on dc. You can't find it in your heart to change your profile picture?
Why? What do you honestly think of Jesus that you won't change it?

I'm not understanding, I want you to stay on dc.

I am not - and I never was - interested in a version of DonationCoder where

  • commercial software without an exception for home users is tolerated and
  • religious fanatics believe that their religion is above artistic freedom.

You can't find it in your heart to change your profile picture?

I will no longer submit to people who want to turn their own religion into a problem for other people. You stay, I'll go, you have your peace and I have mine.

What do you honestly think of Jesus that you won't change it?

I couldn't care less about your prophet, my friend. Your religion is not my religion.

Keep up the good work, relipse. Welcome back, I'm out.

I know you don't care less about him.
You also don't care anything about me.
Or any other Christian.
Or any other muslim.

I retracted my software (as seen in the posts above), which was free for anyone, unless they wanted the advanced features.
Jesus is my God, and my Savior, not just a prophet.
Just being a kind person is not "submitting" to me. You can do that and still hold your peace.

I am very kind to someone who complains to Mouser about me because he only demands religious tolerance from others but is not prepared to show tolerance towards other people himself.

I have also withdrawn my software for NANY 2025 (see post #2) and I do not wish to have another conversation with you or I will indeed have to become unkind. This is a waste of time for me.

Ok, then I am appealing to mouser on this.
Mouser can you please take note and force-change his irreverant picture of the Man Jesus Christ.
If he disrespected Him, it is worse than disrespecting my own mother or father.
He has stated that he will not change it.
He has disrespected God Himself, Jesus the Son, Christianity, Islam and any other person who holds Christ in high regard.
Thank you,
Jim Kinsman

It's been like this forever. And bringing to the forefront religion and making it a sticking point in a forum related to software seems very much not in the spirit of the forum, or dare I say it, Christ in general. I'm a Christian also, and it in no way offends me. God gave free will, and the trappings of material pride seem in no way related to His will for us to express that in whatever fashion we want and to come to Him or not on our own terms.

Yes it has for a long time, and I've always not really liked it.
I guess everyone is different,
There is a brother who wears a "Jesus dinks" pickleball t-shirt which I also believe is irreverent.
I don't know it seems churches differ on what and what not is irreverent.

Folks, life is too precious and short to take it so seriously or get offended so quickly.
Let's all take some deep breaths and separate that which annoys us from that which angers us to action.

This is not a relevant discussion for here and you absolutely can't dictate that another user change their profile picture based on a highly subjective opinion of it.  This is not a website to dictate your religious beliefs or impose them on other people.

Tuxman has had this profile picture for as long as I can remember, and your "outrage" suddenly came after not getting an answer that you wanted (which, by the way, nobody said no, they just said it might be better to just mention it in NANY, and post about it elsewhere on the forum to highlight the freemium nature of it.  It might be helpful for you to take a second look at mousers answer, linked here: https://www.donation....msg455026#msg455026 - relevant quote added below.)

By all means, share it on DonationCoder, even mention it in the NANY thread, and don't feel bad about creating commercial software.  Even make a post linking to it in the NANY section.

Since this thread has become what it has, I will lock it.  Feel free to make another (not related to this discussion) thread in the NANY 2025 section, or elsewhere.
