Everything works just fine. But when trying to make a donation and I follow the instructions: Goto >help >about, the program freezes completely.

Automaticscreenshotter. Great utility otherwise.

Welcome to the forum, Helmut

One oddity that sometimes happens (and seems to happen in my programs on some hard to predict occasions), is that a window like the about box gets hidden behind some other window, or even the main window.  And this can make the program appear as if it is hung, but really it's just that the window that wants focus is hidden somewhere.  Sometimes this can be solved by using alt+tab or just choosing the show the program window, etc.

I see automaticscreenshotter when using alt+tab, it stays always in the foreground. But no reaction to >help when clicked after starting the program from its icon on the desktop. When chosing >about from the miniature icon in the task bar nothing happens. Sticky Notes is running although. And I can´t use Snipping Tool together with automaticscreenshotter, it seems.

How strange..  A few preliminary comments -- there is no reason you shouldn't be able to use Automatic Screenshotter along with other screenshot tools, including snipping tool or my own Screenshot Captor.

What version of Automatic Screenshotter do you have installed?  The latest is v1.08.01.

I cannot find a version number, but automaticscreenshotter (a shorter name would be an improvement too) was installed at June 11,2018 MEZ, central european time). I am impressed by the fact  of finding a real life person answering which caused me to make a second however small donation. I´m going to give screenshot captor a go.

Automatic Screenshotter is something I'd like to add more features to and work on more, so please do feel free to make feature requests and continue posting bug reports

One small hint: the " _as" at the end of a filename (01-07-03-21 _as.png) was confusing me for a while. Also the miniature icon was hard to find at first and it is still a bit difficult to reach by the mouse, as i´m playing GTA online races and have very little time to adjust automaticscreenshotter while racing.
I´d prefer a big icon like the ordinary office applications. A handful of sounds to chose from would be a fancy feature.
Also a simple stop indicator like "--------------------------" in the target directory was great when lots of files have been collected.
...
Thanks for your patience.

Screenshot captor: Where is the screenshots-folder?
...
(Screenshot not possible here?)
...
I tried to place it or a link to it on my desktop, but can´t find a folder named screenshots.

Soundfiles are all of type wave in the sounds-folder.
Does automaticscreenshotter accept mp3-data?

Screenshot captor: Where is the screenshots-folder?

If you open up the main Screenshot Captor window you will see the path to the current screenshot in the titlebar.
But perhaps the easiest way to do what you want is in the main Screenshot Captor window go to the "GoTo" main menu entry and choose the second entry, "Explore at current screenshot directory".
That will open windows explorer to the screenshot folder, where you can right-click and drag and drop the folder to the desktop to make a shortcut.

Very probably not. I didn´t try actually. I converted a sound (plop.mp3) of my taste to wav, renamed "capturesound_c.wav" to capturesound_c-old.wav and renamed "plop.mp3" to "capturesound_c.wav". Good enough.
How about combining AutomaticScreenshotter and Screenshot Captor into one? Like" AMSC"?
