Since we've passed the $4,800 main goal (the server hosting costs for the next year), the fundraising thermometer is now being reset to the lofty and perhaps unrealistic ultimate goal of $10,000, as is our tradition.

Additional raised money will allow us to embark on some new projects on the site. This will include putting a chunk of money towards funding a handful of dc members who are interested in writing regular weekly software/technology columns.
