The part of me that's sensible is horrified.
The part of me that is a c++ coder appreciates the loyalty to the language :)

It feels like a sweet language indeed. New libraries = no more Boost needed.  :-* Would surely do it again.

Putz?    :)  It seems like half the Yiddish slang terms I remember from stand-up comics mean penis or something related.  They sound cooler than the medical term though.  But what do I know? I'm just a schmuck.  :)

Curious, I did a search, trying to see "why C++17"? but the most authoritative reference seemed to be from the DSDA (German Software Development Association): https://www.youtube..../watch?v=ND-TuW0KIgg

Whether one agrees with him or not, I suspect that the guy probably makes some valid points.

These Hitler videos make me sad because I actually understand the real text.

Anyway, it's rather "why anything else?" than "why C++?" for me.

Real-time development strikes again.

(Also, the sidebar looks less bad now.)

In case someone wonders: Version 4 is still due to be released. Given that the current list of changes is already rather long(ish), I might break the roadmap again and move article series and search integration to a later version.
I fixed an embarrassing bug a couple of hours ago and I feel like I should bury that in a new release soon.  :-[

BlogC++ can do threading now. Maybe there will be a version 5 this year.

Version 5 will presumably be released this weekend. I found a tester on GNU/Linux who helped me squash a number of bugs and introduce newer, better bugs.

Debian sid can do BlogC++ now.  :D

It's always fun to find a partner to help test things.

At least it opens your eyes for a new perspective (i.e. a number of compilation errors you cannot reproduce).  ;D

Someone provided Debian GNU/Linux binaries:
https://blog.mdosch....-in-debian-benutzen/

(It's in German, but you should be able to find the .tar.bz2 link.)

I released version 6, introducing plug-ins.

My GNU/Linux tester has sadly decided to use Hugo instead (which is better than BlogC++, admittedly). Maybe I'll find a new one some day.

I wanted to add article series. Turned out the developer (me) failed to write his code in an extensible way.

Well, BlogC++ has seven new files now.  ;D
And a new feature: Article series.

That looks cool!  Thanks for sharing.  My only reservation is spammers.  Don't see a way to limit them as of yet.

There is a "honeypot" feature which is said to help to get rid of spammers. I haven't tried it yet.
