On the Scrolling Capture dialog, before it begins scrolling, on the left hand side about half way down is a place to limit the memory used.
Try changing from default of 500 (mb) to like 5000.  See if that helps.

Believe it or not, this is a common problem I experienced with all other screen capture applications, and the primary reason why I gave SC a try.

And like all other screen capture applications, SC did have the same issue for me, in the beginning, but at least mouser was willing to work to find a solution (which he did), and I no longer have the out of memory problem in SC. Can't say the same about the rest of the developers of those other apps.

Try to scroll-capture this page: http://pastebin.com/Dhq65dAG

The capturing itself works well (besides I couldn't get a proper auto-scroll with the newest Firefox Beta). But: when it comes to overlapping settings, changing any value results in a "There's not enough memory for this action" message. I've 16GB of RAM and set Memory Usage to 5000MB in ScreenshotCaptor (a 32-bit program though ;))

cant reproduce the problem here
Win.8.1 x64; 4GB RAM; some mediocre dual core CPU who's name I cant remember; SC 4.12.0 -
FWIW I'm not using the Firefox beta.

SC actually says how much memory it's using in the dialogue-window where you make the adjustments - top-left of the actual screenshot.
It says 129.16mb here - the number doesnt seem to change and Task Manager says ~541MB. (Are mb's = MB's?!)
Either way it worked fine when I changed either Scroll Overlap value.
