How to upgrade?
« on: May 21, 2014, 03:54 AM »
just wondering if there is a recommended upgrade procedure, ie do I need to uninstall first and then do a clean install or can I go over the top?

No, you dont need to uninstall.
If you have dcupdater installed, you can check for updates from inside the programme via
menu: Help > Check for updates

DcUpdater is a general purpose update checker that can check for updates for multiple programs and help the user download and install them. For programmers, it's an easy and free way to to add update checking support to your programs.
(works with all of mouser's software)

as tomos said -- no need to uninstall, just run new setup program to update.  it will keep all of your existing settings.

actually my apps now have built in update checking, no need to install dcupdater anymore.
