There is a program in widows I think called magnifier, it enlarges the screen. Though not sure how to find it in windows, you might want to do a search for it.

This was posted yesterday. He talks about "JAWS" a screen reader - I checked it out but it's almost $900 for personal use :(

Hi, I am a german government employee and 64 yeaers old. I am blind since 1975. Since 1985 I work with computers that have  a software called Screen Reader (JAWS=Job Access with Speech) that speaks out the written Text of the Display.

It might be worth sending Ulrich a PM though - he also says he is "in charge of a computer Club for blind people, and my hobby is the testing of software, if it can be used by blind people."
You can send him a personal message here:

I also did a search and came across this page which talks about free screen readers:

I think the category that might help you is called "assistive software."  One source of assistive programs is FX Software, here in the UK.  Quite a few applications designed to help people with imperfect sight.

As a simple thing you can do in many programs such as browsers is "zoom". So look under Vew Menus and then you can zoom your way to a larger size. There are also keyboard commands such as control and the + key that zoom in as well.
